MCI BOG invite medical college applications for PG medical courses for 2020-21
The public notice calling for applications informed that the MCI has been superseded by the Board of Governors
It is being brought to the notice of all the applicant colleges who wish to apply for starting/ increase of seats in Postgraduate courses (Broad Specialty) u/s 10(A) of the IMC Act, 1956 for the academic year 2020-21 that after promulgation of Ordinance No. 8 of 2018 dated 26/09/2018 issued by the Hon'ble President of India, the Board of Governors have superseded the Medical Council of India.
With this, the applications for starting/increasing PG seats have to be submitted to the Secretary-General, Medical Council of India from 15th March 2019 to 7th April 2019
Therefore, the application(s) for starting/ increase of seats in postgraduate courses (Broad Speciality) u/s 10A of the IMC Act, 1956 for the academic year 2020-21 is required to be submitted to the Secretary-General, Medical Council of India from 15th March 2019 to 7th April 2019.

The notice adds that the Application form should be as per prescribed format in Opening of a New or Higher Course of Study or Training (including Post-graduate Course of Study or Training) and Increase of Admission Capacity in any Course of Study or Training (including a Postgraduate Course of Study or Training) Regulations, 2000 accompanied by:

- Fee: Rs. 2.36 Lakhs (including GST @18%) for Government Institutions and Rs. 4.72 Lakhs (including GST @18%) for Private Institutions, which is nonrefundable as per the Opening of a New or Higher Course of Study or Training (including Post-graduate Course of Study or Training) and Increase of Admission Capacity in any Course of Study or Training (including a Postgraduate Course of Study or Training) Regulations, 2000 (There is no provision to adjust the application fee submitted in previous years)
- Consent of Affiliation : Issued by the Affiliating University should be in prescribed format as per Opening of a New or Higher Course of Study or Training (including Postgraduate Course of Study or Training) and Increase of Admission Capacity in any Course of Study or Training (including a Postgraduate Course of Study or Training) Regulations, 2000 as notified vide Gazette Notification dated 28/01/2019.Should have the nomenclature of the subject as per Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000.
- Bank Authorization Letter in respect of Private Colleges and Undertaking in respect of Govt. Colleges has to be submitted with the application form.
- All other documents required to be submitted with the application form as per the Opening of a New or Higher Course of Study or Training (including Post-graduate Course of Study or Training) and Increase of Admission Capacity in any Course of Study or Training (including a Postgraduate Course of Study or Training) Regulations, 2000.
- Incomplete application in any respect will not be entertained.
