Claims of NEET PG 2024 paper leak emerge on telegram, exam papers allegedly for sale
There is no end to the controversy concerning the National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test (NEET) as after the whole paper leak fiasco over the NEET UG 2024 exam, now it is being alleged that the question paper for the NEET PG 2024, which is scheduled to be held on August 11, 2024, has also been leaked.
With a few days left for the exam, allegations of NEET PG 2024 question paper leak on a Telegram Channel have come to light today. Health Activist Dr. Vivek Pandey posted about the issue in an X (formerly Twitter) post and demanded an immediate inquiry into the matter.

Bombay HC rules doctors cannot be prosecuted for dispensing medicines
In a significant ruling, the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has observed that doctors cannot be prosecuted for dispensing medicines to their patients if they adhere to the Drug Rules of 1945.
This observation was made by the HC bench comprising Justice Govinda Sanap while considering a plea by a Chndrapur-based Psychiatrist, who found was facing criminal proceedings for selling medicines to a patient.

INDIA Bloc protests against 18% GST imposed on health and life insurance premiums
Raising the demand for a reduction in the 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) imposed on life and health insurance premiums, the INDIA alliance leaders protested against the Central government outside the Makar Dwar in the Parliament on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also joined the protest.
Congress MP Jebi Mather spoke on this and said that no GST should be applied to health and life insurance. She added that this government decision reflects no respect for human faith.

NMC to eliminate physical counselling for medical admissions starting this year
The National Medical Commission (NMC) is planning to streamline the medical admission process by doing away with 'physical counselling' of students aspiring to get into medical colleges, Mint has reported.
NMC is planning to make it mandatory for medical colleges to conduct online counselling for admissions to ensure that students with low ranks do not secure admissions to medical colleges by a hefty amount of donation.

MCC releases NEET 2024 state counselling schedule, alerts NRI candidates on nationality conversion process
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the state counselling schedule for National Eligibility and Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 admissions for the academic year 2024. Along with this, through a notice, MCC has also asked to submit the documents related to those candidates who want to change their nationality from Indian to NRI.
As per the notice, candidates who are claiming to be NRIs and want to change their nationality from Indian to NRI need to submit certain documents in support of their claim. Therefore, they can submit the documents from today i.e. 07 August 2024 at 10:00 AM to 10 August 2024 till 10:00 AM. Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the documents should be submitted through email ID, which is mentioned in the notice, however, emails received before/after the stipulated time will not be considered. Candidates are also advised to send all documents enclosed in a single mail, within the stipulated time. Below is the list of documents to be submitted by the candidates-
