Puducherry: Through a recent notification, the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) has informed about the extension to the last date for submission of online application by eligible candidates seeking admissions into MBBS, BDS, BAMS courses for the academic year 2021-22.

The last date for submission of online application for first-year MBBS/BDS/BAMS and B.V.Sc & A.H courses in Government and Self Financing Medical / Dental and Veterinary colleges in the UT of Puducherry is extended to Friday, 26.11.2021, 6 pm, said the notification.

CENTAC had invited online applications NEET 2021 Qualified candidates for admission to the first year MBBS, BDS and BAMS courses in Government and Self Financing Medical and Dental in the UT of Puducherry. Applications are invited under Government / All India (Management) /NRI and Self–Supporting (SS) Quota.

Issuing instructions for candidates, the CENTAC had stated in its earlier notification, "Candidates should ensure that they are entering ALL INDIA COUNSELING RANK against NEET RANK while filling up the application."

The last date for online submission of applications to CENTAC was today i.e. 22.11.2021 which has now been extended to 26th November. Candidates are advised to apply by then at the official website of CENTAC.

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted its 3rd National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2021 throughout the country on 12 September 2021 in 202 Cities at 3858 Centres for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. The examination was conducted for the first time in foreign countries (in Dubai & Kuwait) also. It was also conducted for the first time in the medium of Punjabi and Malayalam, in addition to the existing 11 language mediums.

This year, 16,14,777 candidates had registered for the exam, 15,44,275 were present taking the percentage to 95.63 per cent and 70502 candidates were absent during the NEET 2021 exam compared to the massive rate of over 2.3 lakh candidates being absent during NEET 2020.
