Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has released the first round online counselling schedule for UP NEET MDS counselling for the academic year 2026.

The schedule has been issued in continuation of the timetable announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, for NEET MDS counselling.

According to the schedule, candidates will be able to register online from 11:00 AM tomorrow, i.e. August 21, until 11:00 AM on August 27, 2026. The window for depositing the registration fee and security money will also open at 11:00 AM on August 21 and close at 2:00 PM on August 27.

Following this, the merit list will be declared on August 27, 2026. Eligible candidates will then be able to fill their choices online from 5:00 PM on August 29 until 5:00 PM on September 1, 2026.

The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be declared on September 2, 2026. Candidates who receive an allotment will be able to download their allotment letters and complete the admission process from September 3 to September 8, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

In continuation of the timetable issued by MCC, New Delhi, for counselling of NEET MDS course, the timetable of the first round of online counselling for admission of state quota seats of the MDS course in Government/Private Dental Colleges/Universities of the State is as follows-

Along with this, UPDGME also released a notification with detailed instructions for candidates seeking admission to State Quota MDS seats in government and private dental colleges and universities across the state.

Below is the Important information/instructions for candidates who participated in the first round of online counselling of UP NEET-MDS 2026.

1 Only those candidates who have been declared successful in the NEET MDS-2026 entrance exam are eligible to participate in the counselling of UP NEET MDS 2026.

2 All eligible candidates participating in the counselling of NEET MDS-2026 will have to register by logging in to the departmental website

3 Candidates must deposit a registration fee of ₹3,000 online. The registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

4 On depositing security money of Rs. 1,00,000 for participating in the counselling, the candidates will be eligible for seats in both government and private sector dental colleges.

5 Candidates should fill in their choices online based on their preferences for seat allocation at government/private dental colleges. Candidates should only choose colleges they wish to enrol in. There is no limit on the number of online choices.

6 It is mandatory to lock your choices after filling them online. Otherwise, the candidate will be automatically excluded from the seat allocation process, for which the candidate will be solely responsible.

7 Private sector dental colleges are free to charge less than the tuition fee fixed by the government. Still, in case of charging less than the prescribed tuition fee, it will be mandatory for the representative of the dental college to submit an undertaking to the concerned nodal officer in respect of the concerned candidate.

8 The admission process of candidates allotted seats in the government sector will be completed at the concerned university level.

9 The admission process for candidates allotted seats in private dental colleges will be conducted at designated nodal centres. The list of nodal centres is displayed in the brochure issued for NEET MDS 2026 counselling, which is available on the departmental official websites.

10 Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Uttar Pradesh are informed that while completing the admission process, it is mandatory for them to have their Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) certificate dated 01 April, 2026 or after.

11 All certificates related to reservation (Other Backwards Class, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Economically Weaker Section) will be valid only if issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh in the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

12 Reservation certificate will not be accepted in the form of a certificate to be submitted for appointment to posts under the Government of India.

13 Disability certificates will only be valid if issued from designated centres and on the prescribed format, as per the instructions issued by the MCC, Director General of Health Services (DGHS), and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. No other type of disability certificate will be valid. Only the instructions contained in the guidelines issued from time to time by the NMC, New Delhi, regarding disability will be valid.

14 It is mandatory for the allotted candidates to appear in person at the Government Dental College/concerned Nodal Centre for admission.

15 Candidates who have received an allotment are mandatorily required to present all their original academic, reservation-related, and other certificates at the time of admission at the allotted Government Dental College or the concerned nodal centre.

16 Candidates must deposit the security amount specified in the following table online. Otherwise, they will not be eligible for choice filling.
