GITAM to offer 2-year MBA Program in Healthcare and Hospital Management

Visakhapatnam: Taking note of the increasing demand for healthcare management in the Post-Covid world, the GITAM Institute of Management is all set to commence its newly proposed MBA course in Healthcare & Hospital Management.

The Dean of the institute, Y Gouthama Rao has announced on Wednesday about launching this two-year program, scheduled to commence from academic year 2021-22, adds The Hans India.

An MBA course with specialization in Healthcare & Hospital Management is a postgraduate course that various public and private institutes across India offer. The students undergoing this course get to understand the issues faced by healthcare systems and also develop the skills necessary for the perfect functioning of the healthcare sector.

As per the latest media report by The Hans India, the dean has further informed about the eligibility criteria for getting admitted to this course. Students with any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university, qualified marks in GAT (PG Management) 2021 online test or qualified marks in national level tests such as CAT/ XAT /GMAT /MAT/NMAT/CMAT /AP& TS ICET are eligible to apply for this new program.

Mentioning that an MBA degree in Healthcare and Hospital management would be extremely beneficial for students interested to build a career in the emerging Health Sector, the Dean Y Gouthama Rao has further informed the daily that after completing the course, the graduates would be able to carry out managerial responsibilities within a broad range of healthcare systems like medical centres, hospitals, or hospital networks, clinics and public health organizations.
