JIPMER issues notice on Submission Of Dissertation Books by PG Students appearing for Final Year Exam

Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has informed the PG students about the submission of dissertation books for those appearing in the final year examination in June/July 2024.

All the final year Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DM/MCH) students who were admitted during Session July 2021 and are due to appear for their final examination in June/July-2024. have to submit their dissertation books on or before 28.02.2024 (without fine) after paying a dissertation fee of Rs.3000.

The payment must only be made through Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. Late submission between 01.03.2024 to 31.03.2024 will attract a fine of Rs.10000. Dissertation books will not be accepted beyond 31.03.2024.

The following guidelines to be followed while preparing the dissertation books –

1. Number of copies to be submitted - 2 (one will be returned to the student after the signatures are inked)

2. Length - approximately 50-60 pages

3. Font - Arial / Times New Roman

4. Size of font - 11/12

5. Spacing - Single/1.5 spaced

6. 30-40 lines/page, 400-450 words/page

7. Executive bond paper

8. Printing - Both sides

9. Margins - Left 1.5"; Right 1" Top 1"; Bottom 1'

10. Continuous pagination

11. Binding - Spiral binding

Two hard copies of the dissertation books along with one soft copy of the entire dissertation book on a CD should be submitted to the Dean's (Research) office before the deadline. One soft copy complete in all respects should be mailed to pgdissertationjipmer@gmail.com.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super specialty, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.
