JIPMER Issues notice on submission of dissertation books by PG students for final year exams in December 2022, Details

Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has issued a notice related to the submission of dissertation books of PG students for appearing final year exam in December 2022.

All the final year PG Degree students admitted during the January- 2020 session and due to appear for their final examination in December-2022 will have to submit their dissertation books on or before 31st July 2022. They will have to pay a fee of Rs 3000 online via Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card. Late submission can be done from 1st August 2022 to 31st August 2022. But the students will have to pay a late fine of Rs 10000. Dissertation books will not be accepted beyond 31st August 2022.

The following points have to be kept in mind while preparing the dissertation books –

1. Length - approximately 50-60 pages

2. Font - Arial / Times New Roman

3. Size of font - 11/12

4. Spacing - Single/1.5 spaced

5. 30-40 lines/page, 400-450 words/page

6. Executive bond paper

7. Printing - Both sides

8. Margins - Left 1.5"; Right 1" Top 1" ; Bottom 1"

9. Continuous pagination

10. Binding - Spiral binding

Students note that 2 copies of the above documents have to be submitted. After the signature is inked, 1 copy will be returned. 2 hard copies of the dissertation books along with 1 soft copy of the entire dissertation book on a CD should be submitted to the Dean's (Research) office before the deadline. One soft copy complete in all respects should be mailed to pgdissertationjipmer@gmail.com.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD. programs, post-basic diploma and certified courses.
