AIIMS Announces Round 1 Results Of Online Seat Allocation For INI SS July 2023 Session

Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the result of 1st round of online institute allocation for INI SS (DM/MCh/MD Hospital Administration) Courses for the July-2023 session.

INI-SS entrance examination was conducted in online CBT mode on 29th April 2023. All qualified Candidates had been invited to participate in the online institute allocation process through two merit lists: - (i) AIIMS merit list (AML) for those who were eligible for AIIMS Institute(ii) Common merit list(CML) for those who were eligible for JIPMER, PGIMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST.

The 1st round of institute allocation for participating INIs in INI-SS entrance examination has been prepared on the basis of choices made (from 11.00 am, 03.06.2023 to 5.00 pm, 06.06.2023) by eligible candidates.

Detailed issued –

1. This list includes all provisionally qualified candidates who were eligible for the 1st round of online institute allocation based on preliminary scrutiny of certificates uploaded as per notifications published on the website & SMS/Email sent regarding the same within the prescribed time period.

2. Candidature under Sponsored/OCI/FN has been considered based on certificates uploaded/Sent and other information provided by the candidates.

3. This online Institute allocation list is provisional subject to the verification of details provided at the time of registration, and at the time of reporting as per eligibility criteria published in the prospectus.

4. Candidates who did not participate in the 1st round of online institute allocation are not eligible for the 2nd round of online institute allocation but can participate in the open/spot round of institute allocation (if any).

5. Candidates who have been allotted their first choice in the 1st round of online institute allocation are required to mandatory report & join at their respective allocated institute and will not be considered for allocation in further rounds of allocation.

6. For the 2nd round, the order of the online institute allocation process will be based on the merit order used and choices filled for the 1st round with no further change.

Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted institute against their course/subject in the 1st round of online institute allocation –

All candidates who have been allotted an institute from their filled choices in the 1st round of online institute allocation are required to log in through the online institute allocation portal and actively exercise the following option from 11.00 am of 10th June 2023 to 5.00 pm till 16th June 2023. Failure to select any of the options below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated institute and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in the 2nd round.

Option 1 - ACCEPT allotted Institute and do not wish to participate in further rounds of institute allocation.

Option 2 - ACCEPT allotted institute and want to in 2nd round of institute allocation [If you choose option-2 and participate in the next round and you are allocated another Institute as per your choice in the next round, then you will have to join the Institute allocated during next round and the previously allocated Institute shall be deemed vacated and automatically be allocated to other candidates next in merit as per choice. Failure to join the upgraded Institute in the next round of Institute allocation shall lead to impositions of the penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh if you do not join the upgraded Institute.]

The candidates who have been allocated institute of 1st preference order out of all filled choices are mandatorily required to choose only option-1.


Instruction for each option is as follows –

Option 1: If the Option of ACCEPT allotted Institute and do not wish to participate in further rounds of Institute Allocation is selected then,

1. The candidate will have to report at respective INIs by 5.00 pm on 16th June 2023 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online Institute allocation portal), Institute Allocation Letter/Slip from the online Portal, and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only in the name of AIIMS Main Grant along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be returned only when the original certificates are deposited.

2. It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is opting not to participate in further rounds of institute allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person (or through an authorized representative) by 5.00 pm on 16th June 2023, the admission will stand canceled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Institute Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the open/spot round of institute allocation (if any).

Option 2: If the option of “ACCEPT allotted Institute and want to participate in 2nd round of online institute allocation” is selected then

1. The candidate will have to report to the respective INIs by 5.00 pm on 16th June 2023 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online Institute allocation portal) and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakh in the name of AIIMS Main Grant along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be returned only when original certificates are deposited for joining the institute in any round of Institute allocation.

2. In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in-person (or through an authorized representative) by 5.00 pm till 16th June 2023, the admission will stand canceled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of online institute allocation and institutes so vacated will be offered to other in next round of allocation.

3. The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of online institute allocation subject to the above.

4. If in the 2nd round of institute allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another Institute as per the choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the Institute allocated in the 2nd round and the institute allocated in the 1st will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain Institute allotted in 1st round and failure to join the institute allocated in 2nd round shall lead to the imposition of a penalty of Rs. 3 lakhs.

AIIMS has further notified that if any candidate who has been allocated an Institute in the 1st round of online institute allocation does not respond in any of the above manners, his/her Institute allocation shall stand canceled and he/she shall be ineligible for all further rounds of institute allocation except the open/spot round of institute allocation (if any).

Policy regarding the depositing of documents/certificates/DD –

The claim to the allotted Institute by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as identity verification of the candidate. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature shall stand canceled, the institute offered in the 1st round shall be vacated for the next round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in 2nd round of Institute allocation process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the open/spot round of institute allocation (if any) subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original/DD (Three lahks) along with one set of self-attested photocopies as applicable –

1. Offer Letter

2. Institute allocation letter

3. Final Registration Slip

4. Admit Card issued by AIIMS.

5. 10th passing/ Birth Certificate showing his/her date of birth.

6. MBBS degree & all years’ mark sheet

7. MD/MS degree/provisional pass certificate.

8. OBC/SC/ST/EWS or Ex-Serviceman certificate if you have taken any age relaxation

OBC (NCL) - 07.04.2022 to 06.04.2023 (Both Dates inclusive)

EWS - 01.04.2023 & on or before 15.05.2023

SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/PWBD - Certificate should be issued before 06.04.2023

Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus. Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation, and the seal of the officer should be legible on the certificate.

The allocated institute of candidates who fail to produce a valid certificate of PWBD category will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under their respective constitutional categories subject to conditions applicable to the respective merit list.

Policies regarding eligibility for 2nd round –

1. The candidates who have been allocated Institute in the 1st round and have chosen option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements shall be eligible for the 2nd round of online institute allocation.

2. All the candidates who were considered in the 1st round but have not been allocated any institute will automatically be eligible for the next round.

3. All candidates who were eligible for the 1st round of institute allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) shall not be considered eligible for the 2nd round of institute allocation but will be eligible for the open round of institute allocation (if any).

General rules adopted for 1st round of online institute allocation –

1. Every candidate has been allocated an Institute as per his/her best choice filled subject to merit in AML/ CML as applicable, as available at that rank for the 1st round.

2. Vacant institutes in 1st round of institute allocation shall be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.

Participation in the 1st round is mandatory to be eligible for the 2nd round of online institute allocation for the INI-SS July 2023 session.

Candidature is liable to be canceled in case of any discrepancy detected at any stage regarding eligibility even after granting of admission.
