AIIMS INI CET January 2025 Admissions process begins, Know All Details Here
New Delhi- All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has released the schedule, counselling process and FAQs for online seat allotment for admission to postgraduate (PG) courses of INIs [MD/MS/DM (6 years)/MCh (6 years)/MDS] Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) for January 2025 session.
As per the schedule, the 1st round of online seat allotment (including mock round) is starting today i.e. 5th December 2024 and will end on 24th December 2024. Thereafter, the 2nd round of online seat allotment will begin on January 03, 2024, and end on January 09, 2024.
The schedule of online seat allocation (including MOCK Round) will be opened for admission to PG courses of INIs for the January 2025 session as per the details given below-

In this regard, AIIMS New Delhi has also released a provisional information brochure detailing the eligibility, procedure, age limit, and other important details for the first and second rounds of online seat application (Institute and subject/speciality)/process for [MD/MS/DM(6YEARS)/MCH(6YEARS)/MDS] January 2025 session.
ELIGIBILITY
All the candidates listed in the Result Notification will be eligible to participate in the 1st and 2nd Rounds of the Online Seat Allocation except the rank of OBC/EWS candidates lower than the cut-off rank of UR who failed to produce a valid category certificate.
PROCEDURE
1 The eligible candidates will have to Register themselves on the PG Online Seat Allocation portal [PAAS/PG MedDen January 2025 of INI-CET]. The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates in the MyPage. Candidate can log in using the credentials that have been used for filling application form and completing other processes related to the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination for the January 2025 session
2 The PG Online Seat Allocation portal will allow candidates to make choices of seats (a combination of Institute and subject/speciality) as per his/her eligibility. The candidate can arrange the choices in the desired order preference. There is no limitation on a number of choices (Institute & Subject/Speciality) that can be made by the candidates. The choices can be edited and reordered within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
3 Kindly note that the choices cannot be edited and reordered after closing date of exercising of Choice of 1st Round of seat allocation. The allocation of 2nd Round will be done as per choices made by the candidates during the exercising of Choice of 1st Round of seat allocation.
4 The Portal will remain open on dates specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal. The choices made by the candidate will be locked either by the candidate OR will be automatically locked on the last Date and Time as specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
5 A Mock Seat Allocation will be done prior to 1st Round of Seat Allocation (not a final allocation). The mock seat allocation represents the likely seat, that a candidate may be allocated as per choices made by the candidate. The result of the mock round seat allocation will be announced as per the date specified in the Important Dates link. The candidate can register/edit/reorder their choices before the closing dates of choices for the 1st Round as per the Important Dates link in the Portal.
6 Those who will not log in during the exercising of choices (Institute and subject/speciality) for the First Round their order of choice will be considered as per choices made during the Mock Round.
7 The mock seat allocation and seat allocation for the 1st Round shall be done as per the schedule specified in the Important Dates link.
8 The allocation of the PWBD candidates will be done as per Roster Point Allocation for counselling (Dynamic) of final seat position as published for admission to PG courses of respective INIs as applicable for the January 2025 session.
9 Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation must show valid proof of their claim for allocated reserved seats at the reporting INIs when they are depositing original certificates. Confirmation of admission shall be subject to verification of Disability by the Medical Board of AIIMS, New Delhi as per schedule mentioned in the result of the respective round of seat allocation. In case they do not possess a valid certificate then their claim for the reserved seat allocated will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear further in their respective category (UR/OBC/SC/ ST/EWS) candidate as applicable without PWBD reservation subject to cut off in respective category.
10 All the candidates who are allocated seats are mandatorily required (irrespective of whether they choose Option 1 and 2 as mentioned in point no. 9) to report in-person (for reporting and/or joining), to the allocated Institute within the date and times specified in the Important Dates link. The candidates are required to submit original certificates OR deposit Rs. 3.00 Lakh as specified in the result notification of the seat allocation of the 1st Round at the time of reporting.
INSTITUTE PREFERENCE
1 AIIMS New Delhi & other AIIMS- The allocation of Institute preferences will be done as per Roster Point Allocation for Counselling (Dynamic) which will be announced separately.
2 JIPMER, Puducherry: Allocation of Institute preference for JIPMER Puducherry candidates, and seats shall be done as per Roster Point (Dynamic)
3 NIMHANS, Bengaluru: No seat available for Institute Preference.
4 PGIMER, Chandigarh: No seat available for Institute Preference.
5 SCTIMST, Trivandrum: No seat available for Institute Preference.
FOREIGN NATIONAL CANDIDATES
The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
1 The candidates will be eligible to exercise of choice only as per Subject/ Institute those are filled in the online registration form.
2 All allocation of Foreign National candidates will be done on the basis of per Subject/Institute filled in the online registration for the January 2025 session.
3 Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
4 The process of admission will be done as per the procedure available for other candidates.
SPONSORED CANDIDATES
1 The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
2 In case any discrepancy is found in online data with the Sponsorship certificate valid information as in the Sponsorship certificate will be accepted as per eligibility criteria.
3 The candidates are eligible to exercise of choice only as per Subject/ Institute those are available in the Sponsorship Certificate.
4 In case, the NOC has been received in place of the Sponsorship certificate, the seat allocation will be done as per subject/Institute available in the online registration.
5 If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, no allocation will be done for that institute.
6 If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, but the subject is available in the online registration, the candidate can make exercising of choices as per the subject available in the online registration.
7 All allocation of Sponsored candidates will be done on the basis of the Subject/Institute available in the Sponsorship Certificate/online registration for the January 2025 session.
8 Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
9 The process of admission will be done as per the procedure available for other candidates.

1 NIMHANS, BENGALURU (AS ON 1ST JANUARY 2025)- The age validation for Courses of NIMHANS under INI-CET for the January 2025 session-

i General/Unreserved Category’- 32 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1993 are eligible) ii ‘OBC Category’- 35 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1990 are eligible).
iii ‘SC/ST/PWBD Category’-37 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1988 are eligible).
iv ‘Sponsored Category’- 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1980 are eligible).
2 SCTIMST TRIVANDRUM (AS ON 1ST JANUARY 2025)- The age validation for Courses of SCTIMST under INI-CET for the January 2025 session-
i General/Unreserved/ EWS/Foreign National category- 40 Years (candidates Born on or after 01.01.1985 are eligible).
ii SC/ST/ Ex-service personnel – 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1980 are eligible).
iii OBC – 43 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1982 are eligible).

Q1 What is the process of the Online PG Seat allocation for 1st Round?
A The online PG Seat allocation will be done in the following steps for 1st Round-
i New Registration for first-time users.
2 Exercising choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and Locking the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order for Mock Round.
3 Announcement of MOCK results.
4 Reordering of choices/adding/deleting choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and Locking the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order for the 1st Round.
5 Announcement of Seat Allocation of the 1st Round.
6 Acceptance of the allocated Seat by the Candidate.
Q2 How do I access the Online PG Seat allocation portal?
A Please visit the AIIMS Exams official website and enter through the Academic/MD/MS/M.Ch.(6 years)/DM(6 years) tab. The link for the PG Online Seat allocation portal will be available on MyPage after logging in using the Registration ID and password that you have been using for filling out the Final Registration form and other processes related to INICET for PG courses for the January 2025 session. The link for PG Online Seat allocation will be activated only for those who are eligible for the Online PG Seat Allocation except rank of OBC/EWS candidates lower than the cut-off rank of UR who failed to produce a valid category certificate.
The first-time users will have to Register themselves and set a separate New Password for logging in and making choices. You must maintain both passwords separately to access the link in the MyPage and Choice matrix.
Q3 How do I Register and Set a new password for Online PG seat allocation?
A For the first-time user, click on the link ‘Register and Set a new password’ on the Online Seat Allocation portal. Follow the instructions to set a new password. Note that this password is separate from the password required to access MyPage. You must maintain both the passwords.
Q4 I have forgotten my passwords/ how do I retrieve them?
A There are two passwords that you are required to maintain. The first password is required to log in to access MyPage and the link for the PG Online Seat Allocation portal and it can be retrieved by clicking Forgot your login details button. The second password is required to access the PG Online Seat Allocation portal and it can be retrieved by clicking on the Forgot Registration ID and Password button. The password will be sent only to your registered e-mail.
Q5 How do I make choices (Institute and subject/speciality)?
A The choices can only be made after you have registered and logged in using the new password for the PG Online Seat Allocation portal. On logging in, confirm your name and Registration ID. Click on the Make Choice button to proceed to exercise choices and their order. To add a choice, choose the Institute and the subject/speciality from the two separate drop-down menus and Click Add choice. To remove a choice, click on the Delete button against that Choice (Institute and subject/speciality).
Q6 Do I have to make choices (Institute and subject/speciality) in one go?
A No, you can make choices (Institute and subject/speciality), edit or reorder them as many times you wish UNLESS you have already submitted and locked the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) OR the last date and time for 1st Round is over. You must save the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) in case you wish to further add/delete/reorder them at a later time point (before the last date and time for 1 st Round)
Q7 How do I order and reorder the choices (Institute and subject/speciality)?
A The default order of your choices (Institute and subject/speciality) will be the order in which you add choice (Institute and subject/speciality). To reorder your choices, use up and down arrows OR Drag and Drop the choice (Institute and subject/speciality) to the appropriate position in the list.
Q8 How do I save choices of Institute and subject/speciality?
A Click on the Save button to save the choices of Institute and subject/speciality and their order.
Q9 How do I Submit and Lock the choices (Institute and subject/speciality)?
A You have to click on the Submit and Lock Choices tab and tick the checkbox I accept the declaration and click on the Submit and Lock choices (Institute and subject/speciality). Note that you will be prompted twice to reconsider and after you have submitted and locked your choices (Institute and subject/speciality), you cannot change it for further Rounds. Choices and their order once Submitted and Locked cannot be changed thereafter for further rounds.
Q10 What happens if I have saved the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) but cannot submit and lock the choices (Institute and subject/speciality)?
A The last saved choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order will be considered as submitted and locked choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order at the last date and time for 1st Round even if the candidate did not submit and lock the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order.
Q11 Can I add/delete/reorder the choices (Institute and subject/speciality)?
A The choices (Institute and subject/speciality) can be edited (add/delete/reorder) ONLY if you have NOT submitted and locked your choice and before the last date and time for the 1st Round.
Q12 Can I change the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and their order after I have submitted and locked my choices?
A No, once you have submitted and locked your choices (Institute and subject/speciality), they cannot be changed even if it is before the last date and time of submission.
Q13 Can I change the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) for the next Round?
A No, you cannot change the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) for 2nd Round of seat allocation. The allocation of 2nd Round will be done as per the choice made by the candidate during the exercising of the Choice of 1st Round of seat allocation.
Q14 Can I view the choice that I have submitted and locked?
A Yes, click the View choices button after logging in to the Online PG Seat allocation portal. You are advised to take a printout of the same.
Q15 What is meant by “Actively Choose” of the allocated seat in the 1st Round?
A If you have been allocated a seat in the 1st Round of PG Online Seat allocation, then you are required to login within the date and time specified in the Important dates link and select one of the following options-
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation
