AIIMS Releases Schedule For INI CET January 2024 Session counselling, know all admission details for 1459 seats here
Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the schedule of online seat allocation for admission to the INI CET January 2024 session. The information brochure for seat allocation, final seat position, guidelines for 200-point roster creation, FAQ of online seat allocation, and how to fill for online seat allocation has also been released.
Detailed schedule –
Round 1 –
1. Exercising of Choices (Institute and subject/specialty) for Mock Round – up to 30.11.2023 up to 05.00 pm
2. Announcement of Seat allocation of Mock of 1st Round - 02.12.2023
3. Exercising of Choices (Institute and subject/specialty) for First Round - From:02.12.2023 to 03.12.2023 up to 05:00 PM
4. Announcement of seat allocation of 1st Round - 07.12.2023
5. Online Acceptance of allocated seat - From: 08.12.2023, 11.00 am to 12.12.2023 up to 05.00 pm

Round 2 –
1. Announcement of seat allocation of 2nd Round - 19.12.2023
2. Online Acceptance of allocated seat - From: 20.12.2023, 11.00 am to 26.12.2023 up to 05.00 pm
3. Reporting & Submission of Documents/Security Deposit - From: 20.12.2023, 11.00 am to 26.12.2023 up to 05.00 pm
The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates on MyPage, accessible by logging in using the credentials that have been used for filling completion of the application form and other processes related to INI-CET for admission to PG courses for the January 2024 session in the website of AIIMS.
Eligibility –
Eligibility criteria as per INI-CET Prospectus Part-A & Part-B, including any notices published, have been applied considering the information provided by the candidates in the online registration form.
All the candidates who have been listed in the Result Notification No.213/2023 dated 11.11.2023 will be eligible to participate in the 1st and 2nd Round of the Online Seat Allocation except rank of OBC/EWS candidates lower than the cutoff rank of UR who failed to produce valid category certificate. This shall be subjected to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the prospectus/notices published on the website of AIIMS.
Procedure -
The eligible candidates will have to Register themselves on the PG Online Seat Allocation portal [PAAS/PG MedDen January 2024 of INI-CET]. The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates in MyPage. Candidates can log in using the credentials that have been used for filling application form and completing other processes related to the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination for the January 2024 session.
On clicking the link, the eligible candidates will be directed to the online PG Seat allocation portal, where the candidates will have to Register for online seat allocation and set a new password. This password is only to access the online PG Seat allocation portal.
Once registered, the candidate will be able to log in to the online PG Seat allocation portal and begin the process of making choices (Institute and subject/speciality) and order the choices. The online PG Seat allocation portal will remain open for the date and time specified in the Important Dates link.
Only the eligible candidates (Result Notification No.213/2023 dated 11.11.2023) will be able to exercise their choices (Institute and subject/specialty) for online PG Seat allocation except rank of OBC/EWS candidates lower than the cut-off rank of UR who failed to produce valid category certificate.
The PG Online Seat Allocation portal, will allow candidates to make choices of seats (a combination of Institute and subject/specialty) as per his/her eligibility. The candidate can arrange the choices in the desired order preference. There is no limitation on the number of choices (Institute & Subject/Speciality) that can be made by the candidates. The choices can be edited and reordered within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
The choices can only be made after you have registered and logged in using the new password for this portal. On logging in, confirm your name and candidate ID. Click on the Make Choice button to proceed to exercise choices (Institute and subject/specialty) and their order. To add a choice, choose the Institute and the subject/specialty from the two separate drop-down menus and Click Add choice. To remove a choice, click on the Delete button against that Choice (Institute and subject/specialty). Click on the Save button to save the choices of Institute and subject/specialty and their order.
Kindly note that the choices cannot be edited and reordered after the closing date of exercising of Choice of 1st Round of seat allocation. The allocation of 2nd Round will be done as per choices made by the candidates during the exercising of Choice of 1st Round of seat allocation.
The default order of your choices (Institute and subject/specialty) will be the order in which you add choices (Institute and subject/specialty). To reorder your choices, use up and down arrows OR Drag and Drop the choice (Institute and subject/specialty) to the appropriate position in the list.
Candidates can make choices (Institute and subject/specialty), edit or reorder them as many times they wish UNLESS they have already submitted and locked the choices (Institute and subject/specialty) OR the last date and time 1st Round is over. The candidate must save the choices (Institute and subject/speciality) in case they wish to add/delete/reorder them at a later time point (before the last date and time for 1st Round).
The Portal will remain open on dates specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal. The choices made by the candidate will be locked either by the candidate OR will be automatically locked on the last Date and Time as specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
The candidate should click on the Submit and Lock Choices tab and tick the checkbox I accept the declaration and click on the Submit and Lock choices (Institute and subject/specialty). Note that you will be prompted twice to reconsider and after you have submitted and locked your choices (Institute and subject/specialty), you cannot change it for further Rounds.
In case the candidate has made and saved choices but could not submit and Lock choices, the last saved choices (Institute and subject/specialty) and their order will be automatically considered as submitted and locked choices (Institute and subject/specialty).
The candidate can view the choices submitted and locked by them by clicking on the View Choices button after logging in to the online PG Seat allocation portal. Click the Print button to take a printout.
A Mock Seat Allocation will be done prior to the 1st Round of Seat Allocation (not a final allocation). The mock seat allocation represents the likely seat that a candidate may be allocated as per choices made by the candidate. The result of the mock round seat allocation will be announced as per the date specified in the Important Dates link. The candidate can register/edit/reorder their choices before the closing dates of choices for the 1st Round as per the Important Dates link in the Portal.
Those who will not log in during the exercising of choices (Institute and subject/specialty) for the First Round their order of choice will be considered as per choices made during the Mock Round.
Institute preference -
1. AIIMS New Delhi & other AIIMS- The allocation of Institute preferences will be done as per Roster Point Allocation for Counselling (Dynamic) which will be announced separately.
2. JIPMER, Puducherry: Allocation of Institute preference for JIPMER Puducherry candidates, seats shall be done as per Roster Point (Dynamic)
3. NIMHANS, Bengaluru: No seat available for Institute Preference.
4. PGIMER, Chandigarh: No seat available for Institute Preference.
5. SCTIMST, Trivandrum: No seat available for Institute Preference.
The mock seat allocation and seat allocation for the 1st Round shall be done as per the schedule specified in the Important Dates link.
All the candidates who have been allocated seats in the 1st Round are required to login to the PG Online Seat Allocation portal and actively choose one of the following options within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link –
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation [if You choose option-2 and participate in 2 nd round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in 2 nd round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during 2 nd round. The seat allocated in the first round shall be considered vacated, and the same shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join seats allotted in 1st round or upgraded seats shall lead to impositions of penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation [if You choose option-2 and participate in 2 nd round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in 2 nd round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during 2 nd round. The seat allocated in the first round shall be considered vacated, and the same shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join seats allotted in 1st round or upgraded seats shall lead to impositions of penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.
Failure to log in and select an option after seat allocation within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link will lead to forfeiture of the allocated seat and render the candidate ineligible for further rounds except the open round of Seat Allocation (if any).
All the candidates who are allocated seats are mandatorily required (irrespective of whether they choose in Option 1 and 2 as mentioned in point no. 9) to report in person (for reporting and/or joining) to the allocated Institute within the date and times specified in the Important Dates link. The candidates are required to submit original certificates OR deposit Rs. 3.00 Lakh as specified in the result notification of the seat allocation of the 1st Round at the time of reporting.
Candidates availing of constitutional reservation must show valid proof of their claim for reserved seats at the reporting INIs when they are depositing original certificates. In case they do not possess a valid certificate, then their claim for the allocated reserved seat will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear in the further round as UR candidates subject to cut off in the UR merit list.
The OBC/EWS certificate must be valid for admission to Central Govt. Institution. The validity of OBC/EWS certification shall be as follows –
1. The OBC(-NCL) certificates should have been issued between 06.11.2022 to 05.11.2023 (date of Exam) both dates inclusive.
2. The EWS certificate must be valid for the financial year 2023-2024 and issued between 01.04.2023 to 05.11.2023 (on or before the date of the Exam), both dates inclusive, based on the income of the year 2022-2023.
Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation must show valid proof of their claim for allocated reserved seats at the reporting INIs when they are depositing original certificates. Confirmation of admission shall be subject to verification of Disability by the Medical Board of AIIMS, New Delhi, as per the schedule mentioned in the result of the respective round of seat allocation. In case they do not possess a valid certificate, then their claim for the reserved seat allocated will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear further in their respective category (UR/OBC/SC/ ST/EWS) candidate as applicable without PWBD reservation subject to cut off in respective category.
The allocation of the PWBD candidates will be done as per Roster Point Allocation for counseling (Dynamic) of final seat position as published for admission to PG courses of respective INIs as applicable for the January 2024 session.
Foreign national candidates –
The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
1. The candidates will be eligible to exercise of choice only as per Subject/ Institute those are filled in the online registration form.
2. All allocation of Foreign National candidates will be done on the basis of per Subject/Institute filled in the online registration for the January 2024 session.
3. Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
4. The process of admission will be done as per the procedure available for other candidates.
Sponsored candidates -
1. The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
2. In case any discrepancy is found in online data with the Sponsorship certificate, valid information in the Sponsorship certificate will be accepted as per eligibility criteria.
3. The candidates are eligible to exercise of choice only as per the Subject/ Institute those are available in the Sponsorship Certificate.
4. In case the NOC has been received in place of the Sponsorship certificate, the seat allocation will be done as per subject/Institute available in the online registration.
5. If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, no allocation will be done for that institute.
6. If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, but the subject is available in the online registration, the candidate can make exercising choices as per the subject available in the online registration
7. All allocation of Sponsored candidates will be done on the basis of the Subject/Institute available in the Sponsorship Certificate/online registration for the January 2024 session.
8. Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
9. The process of admission will be done as per the procedure available for other candidates.
For those who have not been allocated any seat in the first round of seat allocation, the allocation will be done in the second round of seat allocation as per their choice filled during exercising of choice of 1st Round in order of merit.
The seat allocation of the subject available in Sponsored Category for PGIMER will be done by PGIMER Chandigarh separately.

1. General/Unreserved Category’- 32 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1992 are eligible)

3. ‘SC/ST Category’-37 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1987 are eligible)
4. ‘Sponsored Category’- 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1979 are eligible)
DM (Neurology), M.Ch. Neurosurgery (Post MBBS category) Course & MD Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation -
32 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1992 are eligible)
SCTIMST Trivandrum (As of 1st January 2024): The age validation for Courses of SCTIMST under INI-CET for the January 2024 session -
1. General/Unreserved/OBC/EWS/Sponsored/Foreign National category- 40 Years (candidates Born on or after 01.01.1984 are eligible)
2. SC/ST – 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.01.1979 are eligible)
All disputes pertaining to the conduct of the INI-CET by AIIMS, New Delhi, and Online Seat Allocation / Counselling will be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Delhi only. The 2nd round will be initiated after completion of 1st round.

NIMHANS, BENGALURU –
1. PWBD category: 5% of the seats are reserved for PWBD (between 40% to 70% disability) as per the Govt. of India regulations in all courses offered at NIMHANS except for DM/MCh courses.
2. (Institute Stipendiary): No reservations applicable for M.Ch., DM and MD Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Courses. Seat Allocation will be purely on a merit basis.
3. (For North – Eastern Domicile applicants should belong to Domiciles of Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura & Uttarakhand states)
PGIMER, Chandigarh –
1. In the case of Rural Area candidates, five percent of seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis.
2. As per provisions (Chapter VI Clouse 32) of the rights of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities Act 2016, five percent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. The disability certificate of the candidate should be issued by the authorized Medical Board of the State Govt./Govt. of India or any other Competent authority authorized in this regard by the State/ Government of India.
3. Five percent seats of the PwBD category and five percent seats of the Rural Area Service (RAS) category shall be allotted on a horizontal basis as per the AIIMS pattern.
