BFUHS Invites Applications For MD, MS, PG Diploma, MDS courses, Check out application process, schedule, eligibility criteria, tentative seat matrix

Faridkot: Online applications are invited by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) for MD, MS, PG Diploma, and MDS courses.

The candidates can apply online through the University website www.bfuhs.ac.in. The application form for admission to PG courses can't be submitted offline/printed copy by post. Incomplete applications not in accordance with instructions shall not be considered and are liable to be rejected. The application fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances. No request for accepting the forms after the cut-off date will be entertained.

Application fee -

1. The candidates will have to pay the admission application fee of Rs 5900 for the general category and Rs 2950 for SC candidates through an online payment gateway only.

2. Only those Admission Application Forms will be considered for counseling, the fee for which has been deposited by the due date/time.

3. Fee once deposited in University Account will not be refunded/adjusted in any case.

4. No request for accepting the Admission Application Form after the due date/time will be considered.

5. Fee once deposited in University Account will not be refunded/adjusted in any case.

6. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode i.e. Cash, Cheque, Demand Draft, etc.

7. Merely deposition of the fee will not entitle the candidate to claim of admission.

Submission of online admission application form –

1. Candidates will have to log on University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in and read the Punjab Govt. notification and instructions as contained in the Prospectus carefully.

2. Candidates who qualify for NEET-PG-2022 are eligible to apply ONLINE for admission to Post Graduate Courses including Post Graduate Diploma Courses and six-month training in Ultrasonography.

3. Following documents are required to upload on the online registration form - A soft copy of the Photograph of the candidate. (Maximum size 30 KB) and a Soft copy of the signatures of the candidate. (Maximum Size 30 KB). The detailed photo specification is enclosed in the mail.

4. After completion of filling online admission application form, the University will issue a unique Registration ID (i.e Login ID) and a password will be provided to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile number in the admission application form through SMS/ email. Registration Numbers and passwords are mandatory for further process, so keep them secret and don't disclose them to any unknown person.

5. Merely submission of the online application form & fee does not confer any automatic rights to secure a Postgraduate MD/MS/Diploma/MDS/PGDSM seat/six months of training in Ultrasonography courses.

6. Candidates should ensure before applying for admission that their MBBS/BDS degree is recognized as per provisions of the Indian Medical/Dental Council Act. If it is found at any time that MBBS/BDS degree is not recognized, the candidature/result shall be canceled/ deemed to be canceled.

7. Candidate shall submit an online admission application form only once. Applications submitted more than once are liable to be rejected.

8. Candidates are required to fill online Admission Application Form very carefully and should not leave any column blank. However, a PDF file pertaining to the steps for submission of the online Admission Application Form will be uploaded on the University website (if required).

9. Candidate has to deposit the application fee through the online University payment gateway.

10. Application form for admission to PG Courses submitted offline/printed copy shall not be accepted.

11. Candidate shall retain the Admission Application Form till the completion of the admission process.

12. Incomplete application forms shall not be considered and are liable to be rejected.

13. The fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Detailed schedule –

1. Display of tentative distribution of seats – 16th August 2022

2. Last date for submitting online Admission Application Form through University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in - 25th August 2022

3. Last date of correction in the online submitted application form - 25th August 2022

4. Last date for depositing application fee of Rs. 5900 (Rs. 2950 for SC candidates) including GST through University payment gateway - 26th August 2022

5. PCMS category candidates will submit a scanned copy of the online Admission Application Form along with self-attested copies of certificates, NOC, and Eligibility Certificate issued by the competent authority and proof of fee remittance through email (pgadmissionsbfuhs@gmail.com) – 26th August 2022

For Christian & Sikh Minority Quota Candidates –

1. Verification of documents/eligibility by the Christian Medical College, Ludhiana for Christian Minority Quota and SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar for Sikh Minority Quota candidates - 26th August 2022 - 27th August 2022

2. Display of Provisional Merit List - 29th August 2022

For NRI Candidates –

Last date for submission of hard copy of admission application form at University office for NRI quota seats. Candidates seeking admission under the NRI quota are required to obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the University prior to applying. (Application form for obtaining the Eligibility certificate and admission application form are separately available on the University website.) - 28th August 2022


Eligibility conditions –

1. The admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS/PGDSM and six months of training in Ultrasonography shall be opened to candidates who have qualified NEET-PG-2022 and are eligible as per Punjab Govt. notifications and subsequent amendment(s)/corrigendum(s) and possessing basic qualifications i.e. MBBS/BDS for various PG Medical/Dental Courses.

2. Candidates cannot claim a seat/admission on the basis of the NEET-PG-2022 rank alone. Eligibility and Merit of a candidate for admission against any PG seat will be determined by the Admission Committee at the time of reporting to the college, strictly as per rules and regulations laid down by the Punjab Govt. Notification(s) as published in this prospectus and instructions of Govt. of India available on website www.mcc.nic.in.

3. The final eligibility for getting a seat under Minority Quota will be determined by the respective Minority institution in accordance with Punjab Govt. notifications and as per rules and regulations followed by respective institutions.

Schedule of the first round of online Pg Medical/Dental counseling –

1. Online filling of choices of college/specialty – 31st August 2022 – 6th September 2022

2. Processing of seat allotment - 7th September 2022 - 11th September 2022

3. Display of provisional Allotment/Result - 12th September 2022

4. Inviting objections to the provisional allotment (if any) by the NEET PG aspirants through email (pgadmissionsbfuhs@gmail.com) - 13th September 2022, 11:00 am

5. In case there is any change in provisional allotment after considering objections, the same will be displayed on the university website on - 14th September 2022

6. Reporting by candidates to respective allotted college and deposition of six-month fee through university payment gateway available on the university website in candidate's login – up to 19th August 2022

The process of online counselling –

1. Online registration/submission of the application form.

2. Online submission of application fees through the university payment gateway.

3. Display of category-wise provisional merit list on the University website.

4. Online submission of preferences courses/specialty/college.

5. Provisional allotment of seats.

6. Reporting to the allotted college for verification of original document and eligibility followed by Medical Examination.

7. Deposition of Tuition Fee through Online Payment Gateway on University website.

8. If found eligible, the Principal shall allow joining.

The process for inviting willingness to participate in the 2nd round of online PG counselling shall be commenced before the start of the 2nd round. If a candidate wants to participate in the 2nd round, he/she will have to submit willingness as per the rules & regulations of the Government of India posted on www.mcc.nic.in. Only those candidates will be considered for the 2nd round who will submit willingness by depositing the requisite security amount for participation.

Documents to be submitted at the time of counselling –

1. Candidates allotted seat must carry one of the identification proofs (ID Proof) to the allotted college at the time of admission (as mentioned in the information Bulletin published by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) PROSPECTUS PG Medical /Dental- 2022 16 | P a g e for AIPGMEE/AIPGDEE i.e. PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhar Card.)

2. Receipt of deposition of the six-month fee.

3. Admit card issued by NBE iv) Result/Rank Latter issued by NBE.

4. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of Birth.

5. Mark Sheets of MBBS 1st, 2nd & 3rd Professional Examinations. vii) MBBS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate.

6. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution.

7. Permanent/provisional Registration Certificate issued by NMC /State Medical Council.

8. In-service candidates will produce NOC & Eligibility certificates from the competent authority.

9. SC Certificate/BC certificate/ Disability Certificate/ The EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority of Punjab.

A total of 835 seats are available for PG Medical and PG Dental courses. PG Dental has 150 seats and PG Medical has 685 seats. A detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.

Eligibility and Merit of a candidate for admission against any PG seat will be determined by the Admission Committee at the time of reporting to the college, strictly as per rules and regulations laid down by the Punjab Govt. Notification(s) as published in this prospectus and instructions of Govt. of India available on website www.mcc.nic.in.

Those who are not eligible as per guidelines of Punjab Govt. notification, terms & conditions of Govt. of India on its website mcc.nic.in will not be considered for admission. The candidates will participate in counselling process at their own risk & responsibility. Eligibility is also subject to medical fitness and such criteria as may be prescribed by the Punjab Government/ University/MCC/NMC/DCI.



Admission for Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala is also covered under NEET-PG-2022.

Candidates can download the prospectus from the University's website or obtain it from University after making a payment of Rs. 300 in cash. Any amendment/notice issued by Govt. of Punjab/ Govt. of India/www.mcc.nic.in regarding PG admissions, session 2022, shall be applicable.

The provisionally selected candidate will deposit the fee through the university payment gateway and thereafter he/she has to report to the allocated college within a given time for verification of documents/eligibility. In case the candidate failed to deposit the fee through the online portal, the provisional allotment will be treated as canceled. After the last date, the application form will be locked automatically.

Application of candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered and candidates shall be further debarred from participating in any Counseling conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot. The final seat matrix shall be displayed at the time of choice filling during 1st round of online counseling.

Admission for PG courses shall be made only to those institutions and specialties which have permission from all of the concerned authorities and are affiliated with the University. The fee structure for the Government/Privately managed colleges is as per Punjab Government notification(s) for Post Graduate Degree/Diploma courses. If Punjab Government issues any subsequent amendment/corrigendum for change in fee structure, the same will be applicable in letter and spirit.

Candidates applying under any of the reserved categories are directed to fill the right category code mentioned in this prospectus for claiming reservation under a category and also bring/attach all relevant documents/proof of respective category with the admission application form and also directed to bring along photocopies and originals at the time of reporting to the college.

Candidates who seek to apply under NRI quota seats, have to obtain a provisional Eligibility/equivalency certificate from the BFUHS, Faridkot, and will have to apply in the prescribed format available on the university website along with the prescribed fee for NRI seats.

Candidate's who will not opt/forgo the seats in the first counseling or have not attended the 1st counseling but are registered with the BFUHS, shall still be eligible for 2nd round of counseling of the State of Punjab. Candidate's who will surrender the seat in writing after joining in 1st round of online counseling within the stipulated period and who will not participate in any subsequent rounds, their fee will be refunded without any penalty.

Candidate to whom the seat is allotted during 2nd round but they do not join/surrender the seat, the penalty shall be imposed. Terms and conditions regarding penalty/forfeiture of the security deposit shall be followed strictly as per Gazette of India notification no. 144 dated 05.04.2018.

Once, the candidate has joined the allotted seat in or after 2nd round of counseling then he/she will not be allowed to surrender the seat as per directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 16.12.2021 passed in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No. 10487 of 2021 Nihila P.P Vs Medical Counselling Committee.
