DNB Post Diploma Admissions 2024: NBE invites registrations, see complete schedule
Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the Schedule for Online Centralized Merit Based Counseling for admission to DNB (Post Diploma) for the 2024 Admission Session.
Candidates can apply from December 3rd till December 6th. The counselling process will be held till December 24th.
The Centralized Online Merit Based counselling for admission to DNB (Post Diploma) 2024 admission session shall be conducted by NBEMS as per the schedule given below:

"Any further round(s) of this Counseling shall be conducted depending on the number of seats remaining vacant after the completion of 2nd round of Counseling. The decision to conduct any further round is purely discretionary and the decision of the NBEMS in this regard shall be final and binding. For ensuring faithful obedience of time schedule and also keeping in view the limited time available for conducting counseling, all participating institutes/colleges are directed to treat all Saturdays/ Sundays and Gazetted Holidays falling during the period of counseling as working days," stated the notice.
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION WITH NBEMS FOR DNB POST DIPLOMA COURSES AFTER JOINING IN THE ALLOTTED INSTITUTE:
Candidate who has Joined the allotted seat shall be referred as NBEMS trainee.
NBEMS has introduced a web portal named as Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR). Candidates as well as the concerned Hospitals/ Institutes are required to complete the Joining as well as Registration formalities after conclusion of all rounds of counseling. OPJR shall not be accessible for both candidates as well as institutes during the ongoing process of counseling.
The candidates will upload the documents at NBEMS website and the hospital will also update the joining status at the same website.
Subsequent to conclusion of counseling, the candidate and hospital shall be able to access the Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR) through weblink, where they shall be required to complete the joining and registration formalities.
A detailed notice for self-appraisal shall be published after conclusion of counseling for joined candidates to register themselves as trainees with NBEMS. The joining of a candidate for a course is considered complete only after successful submission of Self-Appraisal to NBEMS both by the candidate and its training institution.
Registration & filling of choices has to be done through website. Following steps must be completed to participate in the counseling:
Payment of registration fee for online counseling
Upload prescribed documents
Choice filling
Lock and Confirm the choices filled
All candidates desirous of participating in the counseling will be registered ONCE during the start of the counseling process. No fresh registration is permissible once the window of registration is closed or in any subsequent rounds of counseling There is no other methodology for participation in the counseling for DNB Post Diploma 2024 admission session.
Candidates are required to pay the Counseling registration fee of Rs. 2500/- at the time of online registration for the counseling. Payment gateway charges shall be borne by the candidate. Registration fee for online counseling shall not be refunded under any circumstances once the candidate has been registered for Counseling.
Candidates are advised to fill their preferences/choice of seats carefully and Lock and Confirm them before the last date of choice filling window so that the same are considered by the System. If there is INACTION i.e. the candidate does not Lock and Confirm the preferences/choices of seats, the System will not accept the choices of seats and the candidate will not be allotted any seat. Once locked and confirmed, the choices filled in for the counseling cannot be changed.
The seat allocation will be done in order of merit cum choice/ preference of seats indicated by the candidate during the registration/choice filling process.
For joining the allotted seat, the candidate is required to ACCEPT and FREEZE the allotted seat and have to pay First year course fee [non-refundable] of Rs.1,25,000/- (Payment gateway charges shall be extra) within the stipulated time. After the payment of First year course fee, the seat allotted to him/her will be FROZEN in his/her favour and the candidate will not be eligible for any further round(s) of counseling.
Candidates may note that the allotment of seat in the Counseling is subject to the fulfilment of prescribed eligibility criteria and production of prescribed credential in original at the time of joining the institute allotted.
