Kerala: The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has begun registering for admission to professional degree courses in Nursing and Paramedical streams-2023-24.

As per the notice, the candidates can apply till 3rd July 2023. The application fee can be paid till 30th June 2023. Application for admission to all the courses can be registered only online through a single application. The provision for applying online is available at the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. Submission of more than one application by a candidate will lead to rejection of the candidature.

Candidate has to visit the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in and under 'VARIOUS ALLOTMENTS' click the link "Admission to Professional Degree Courses in Nursing and Para Medical Streams-2023."

Service quota candidates desirous of being considered for allotment under open quota also can apply for the same after remitting the requisite fee in the bank (in addition to the fee remitted in Government Treasury) by following the procedure applicable for open candidates as specified in clause 7.3.1 and file the college options in time.

Application fee –

1. General candidates - Rs 800

2. SC/ST candidates (Keralites) - Rs 400

3. Service Candidates – Rs 800

Candidates can remit the application fee in any Federal Bank branches in Kerala using the challan obtained after submitting personal details online. On the next day, after the bank's remittance of the application fee, they can complete the application submission using the Appno and Chalan numbers (obtained from the bank).

In the case of Service candidates, the application fee should be remitted to any Government Treasury under the head of Account "0210-03-105-99". After remittance of the application fee, they should apply as prescribed under clause 7.6.

Allotment will be done in the following new courses in Institutions, subject to the approval of the Government /KUHS -

1. Bachelor of Medical Imaging Technology

Admissions to the above courses are regulated based on merit as assessed in the rank list prepared based on the marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination(s) after having the normalization procedure.

Allotment of seats from the State Rank Lists for all courses in Self Financing Colleges will be made by the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India/Hon'ble High Court of Kerala or orders of the Government of Kerala/Government of India as per the law in existence at the time of Centralized Allotment Process and will be notified separately.

Eligibility - 

1. B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. M.L.T, B.Sc. Optometry, B.Sc. Perfusion Technology, B.C.V.T, B.P.T, B.Sc. Medical Radiological Technology, B.Sc. Dialysis Technology & BOT (Bachelor of Medical Imaging Technology, Bachelor of Radio Therapy Technology, Bachelor of Neuro Technology. subject to the approval of the Government /KUHS :-) Should have passed the Higher Secondary examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or an examination equivalent to it as approved by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. Should have separate minimum pass marks for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

2. BASLP Course: Should have passed the Higher Secondary examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or an examination equivalent to it as approved by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. Candidates should have separate minimum pass marks for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics /Computer Science/Statistics /Electronics /Psychology.

3. The candidates should have completed 17 years as of 31st December 2023. No Relaxation at the minimum age will be allowed. The upper age limit for candidates for B.Sc Nursing is 35 years as of 31.12.2023. There is no upper age limit except for candidates under the service quota. The upper age limit for candidates under the service quota will be 46 years for B.Sc. (MLT) and B.Sc Optometry as on 31.12.2023

Compulsory Nursing Service (CNS) –

B.Sc Nursing students are studying in Govt. After successfully completing their course and Registration with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, nursing colleges must complete one year of Compulsory Nursing Service in the Govt—Medical Colleges of Kerala to improve the clinical experience.

All students who were selected for admission to the course shall execute a bond by the stipulations contained in the letter No.C3 /337/2023/ H&FWD dated 12/4/2023, in the prescribed format provided in Annexure XVI of this prospectus. As per the bond's provisions, each candidate is bound to pay a sum of Rupees One lakh only (Rs. 1 lakh) towards liquidated damages in the event of discontinuing /withdrawing from the CNS program. Exemptions from paying liquidated damages will be granted only to those candidates who have got a job in defense/ state government / central government during the tenure of CNS.

A total of 22 seats are reserved for nominees & special reservation categories for B.Sc. (MLT) & B. Sc. (Optometry) Courses

The reservations in the government college are based on the following –

Reservation for Nominees –

The details related to reservations are enclosed in the notice below.

A candidate must make claims for Special/Mandatory reservations at the time of the online application; The supporting documents shall be uploaded to the online application within the stipulated time. The claim has to be specified in the application in the respective places. Claims made after the last date of application submission will not be entertained even if supporting evidence is produced. The claims for Special and Mandatory Reservation, once made in the application, cannot be altered by the candidate under any circumstances –

1. Those who claim admission under Government Seats reserved for a Minority Community in a college having minority status granted by Government/National Minority Commission should specify the same in the application. They should attach a Community Certificate from the Revenue Authority/authority concerned along with the application. There is no restriction on annual family income for candidates to apply for such minority seats.

2. Only candidates in the 'Keralite' category (as defined in clause 6) can claim seats under the Mandatory quota in Government Colleges and Special reservation quota unless otherwise specified in the prospectus. Details of reservation of seats, if any, in Self Financing Colleges will also be finalized before the Centralized Allotment.

1. Rank List I - For allotment to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (MLT), B.Sc. Perfusion Technology, B.C.V.T , BPT, B.Sc. Medical Radiological Technology, B.Sc. Dialysis Technology, BOT, and B.Sc. Optometry (Bachelor of Medical Imaging Technology, Bachelor of Radio Therapy Technology, Bachelor of Neuro Technology. subject to the approval of the Government /KUHS :-) (Refer clause 6.2.1): Rank Lists will be prepared based on marks* obtained by candidates for Physics, Chemistry, Biology put together at the final year of the qualifying examination.

2. Rank List II - For allotment to BASLP course (refer to clause 6.2.2): Rank list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology together at the final year of the qualifying examination.

Allotments –

There will be three regular online allotments. After each allotment, the candidate can pay the required fee / additional fee as indicated in the Fee Payment Slip, which will be available for download from the student home page. The fee can be paid using the fee payment slip or online.

2. Fee for SC/ST/OEC and others having fee concession - Token fee of Rs.1000

2. Allotment Memo received online.

3. Receipt of Tuition fee remitted through allotment. (iv). Certificate to prove date of birth.

4. Original Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended. Conduct Certificate shall be obtained within six months before the Date of Admission.

5. Original Mark list of the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent) and the Pass Certificate (if applicable).

6. Eligibility Certificate from any University in Kerala, in case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE/ICSE/ISC and Degree from Other Universities or Boards.

7. Migration Certificate, if applicable.

8. Physical Fitness Certificate in the relevant format obtained from a Medical Practitioner not below the Rank of asst. Surgeon given in Annexure V (e) of the prospectus, 2023.

9. Certificate showing that the candidate has been vaccinated against Hepatitis B.

10. Income certificate from the concerned Revenue Authority. (xii). Undertakings as per Clause 14.2 vide Annexure VII.

11. The Head of the Institution must produce any other document(s).
