UP DGME Informs on Round 1 Seat Cancellation For NEET PG Candidates
Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) informs about the seat cancellation process for the candidates of NEET PG and NEET MDS who have been allotted seats in round 1 of the counseling.
Per the notice, the candidates who have been allotted seats after round 1 of the counseling process but now want to resign from the seat allotted will have to submit a resignation letter. The letter must be submitted on or before 26th August 2022, 2:00 pm. The letter must be per the guidelines issued on 23rd September 2022.
For the candidates who have been allotted government and private seats, 10% will be deducted from all the fees paid, including the security money. The remaining fee will be refunded to the candidates.
Suppose candidates who join the allotted seats of round 1 don't get any seat allotment from AIQ counseling/other state counseling but still give a resignation letter. In that case, 50% will be deducted from all fees, including security money.
DME carries out the counseling process with the help of NIC. The candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG exams will only be eligible for counseling. Candidates of other states who have been admission to government medical colleges through All India Quota or have upgraded are also qualified for PG state quota unreserved government seats. The MBBS candidates who have completed their internship till 31st July 2022 are only eligible for counseling.

The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that the date of choice filling for the MSc Nursing course had been rescheduled. The choice filling began on 20th October 2022. The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) has announced this through a written notice.
