38 Medicos from GIMS suspended for Making Reels inside Hospital
Gadag: Taking action against 38 medical students belonging to Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), who made reels on the institute premises, the college authorities have suspended them on Saturday further extending their housemanship posting by 10 days.
The students had shot a number of reels, including dancing on popular Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu film songs, which had gone viral on social media. The public had objected to the act of using the hospital premises, lab and operation theatre for filming entertainment videos, adds IANS.
Since the students shot these videos during the evening and night at the hospital premises, they went unnoticed by the authorities. However, after those videos were posted by the students on social media platforms, they went viral and consequently drew notice of the authorities.
