MUHS invites online applications for Summer Internship Program 2023, details
Maharashtra: Online applications are invited for the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Summer Internship Program 2023. Provisional enrollment for the Summer Internship Programme (SIP) and a brief description of the learning goal for each SIP have also been released.
The admission notification for the online admission process of the Summer Internship Program (SIP) during the summer vacations of 2023 will be conducted at various SIP Centers enrolled by MUHS. The desirous candidates up to 3rd year ongoing who are currently admitted to undergraduate Health Science Curriculum in a college affiliated to MUHS, Nashik, can take part.
Before filling out the online application form, the candidates should read the guidelines/instructions and referred university notification and then may proceed to apply online. The admission process application online form submission link will be made available up to 10.05.2023 at 23:59 Hrs (midnight) or the date prescribed or notified or updated by the university from time to time.

7. Admission 1st Round with allotment of SIP Centre to the selected candidate (Allotment Letter will be generated online, and selected candidates shall log in to their account with OTP on the registered mobile number and shall take a printout of allotment letter in case of allotment) - 31.05.2023
8. Admission 2nd Round and MOP UP round (If any required) - Will be notified
The desirous Candidates shall have to apply online and pay the prescribed application form fees online of Rs.500/- (nonrefundable except the clause mentioned) as decided by the University from time to time. Candidates who are financially incapable of paying processing fees or belong to the below poverty line (BPL) families shall have to submit the certificate and undertake duly certified by the concerned Dean / Principal to the University. The Vice-Chancellor shall have the right to grant the processing fee waiver in such cases of Candidates.
Those students will not get allotment from the University under the scheme; such students will get a refund of 50% of the application fees they submitted.
If any seats remain vacant, they shall be filled as per the general merit list in the second round or subsequent rounds, if any; Further, University may carry out the Spot Admission Round / MOP UP Round as per the policy decision of the University.

The MUHS Avishkar Research Festival Winners for the academic year 2022 (held in Jan 2023), if the winner (up to a third year) applies under the said scheme and they got an allotment for the Summer Internship program, then their 100% application fees will be refunded, in such event. Also, they can interact with teams BETIC, IIT Bombay, and Mumbai.
The period of this summer Internship spent at respective enrolled SIP Centers (apart from summer vacation) shall be considered a study period for the allotted students and treated the same as regular attendance. The Dean/Principal of the affiliated college may also adjust the said period for the elective posting of CBME, if applicable.
Allotment of the student(s) will be done pro-rata, considering the number of applications received from each faculty so that sufficient representation of each faculty student can be done. It shall be mandatory for the candidate to submit a Statement of Purpose for any of the learning goals opted for by the candidate while submitting the online application form. It will carry 03 Marks weightage. Which shall be evaluated by the University, and the candidate shall award a proportionate mark(s) (either :1 or 2 or 3) based on the statement of purpose submitted by the candidate.
The 12/HSC Percentage or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) (Candidate shall have to fill the prospective percentage after conversion equivalent percentage of marks as per concerned examination body guidelines applicable) will be converted into 10 Marks as).
The merit list shall be prepared based on marks or scores secured by the candidate as per the above marking criteria of 13 Marks (Marks obtained out of 03 Marks Statement of purpose + Marks obtained out of 10 marks assigned to 12th / HSC percentage ≤ 13 Marks). The seats will be allotted to Candidates as per Inter-Se-Merit.
Wherever there is a tie in the Marks obtained by the Candidates in both cases, (the total marks obtained by the Candidates in the 12th standard examination shall be considered and given preference in the merit list. Further, if the tie persists, the candidate (s) with higher age shall be given preference in the merit list.
MUHS shall carry out scrutiny of application(s) and evaluation of statement of purpose. A merit list will be published, and a Letter of allotment will be available online. Candidate has to report at the concerned SIP center at their own cost and submit the joining letter through the concerned Nodal Officer nominated by MUHS at the respective SIP Center.
Accommodation and mess facilities will be subject to availability and payment of necessary charges at par with that paid by Candidates living in hostels. MUHS will issue all interns a temporary institute ID online if required. ) On successful completion of the internship, a certificate, Badge and weekly stipend (Rs. 2500/- max. up to 04 weeks) will be awarded to SIP interns by MUHS (as prescribed by the MUHS authorities from time to time). University Certificate and Badge will be awarded to each participant by MUHS, those who will have completed the SIP- 2023.
The said provisional list is provisional and temporary and is subject to change as per the position of the proposal & information received from SIP Centre(s) from time to time. The University keeps the right to update or amend the provisional list at any stage of the admission process.
The reputed firms in the software sector with whom MUHS has entered into MoUs have consented to offer these students digital content webinars. Also, lectures and e-learning sessions like last year by expert faculties from the MPGI Institute of the University will be conducted for these SIP interns.
Instructions for filling Online Application Form -
1. Candidates should have a valid Email Id and correct mobile number.
2. Before filling Online Application Form, download the Admission Notification and University Notification 10/ 2023 and read the same carefully.
3. Online Application Form must be filled in in 06 steps (i.e., from Step 01, Step 02, Step 03, Step 04, Step 05 and Step 06).
4. The Candidates must possess the required criteria and educational qualification as mentioned in the guidelines prescribed by University for online admission Process 23.
5. Fill out the Online Application Form carefully. Candidate(s) has to choose the concerned SIP Center and Learning Goal(s) as per the suitability of their qualification. Accordingly, they must mention the corrected eligibility criteria and shall give the Online Preferences or need to fill the Choices of Summer Internship Programs (SIP) for the AY 23 to be conducted at various SIP Centers enrolled by MUHS.
6. Candidates shall submit only one application form; if they submit more than one application, the previous application will be rejected. The latest application submitted by the candidate (s) shall be treated as valid.
7. Please note that if you make any mistake in filling out the online Application Form, this office cannot correct it. The office will take no responsibility of any kind for such forms.
8. For any modification in the online application, candidates must submit an OTP password after entering their mobile number. Candidates can modify their application before online submission,
9. Once the Candidate has submitted their application form online by pressing the “SUBMIT” button, there will be no scope to change the online data.
10. System will not print the application form unless entering basic information, Educational Qualification, SIP Preferences and an online application fee of Rs.500/-(non-refundable).

Candidates up to 3rd year ongoing are currently admitted to undergraduate Health Science Curriculum (MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BPTH / BSC. Nursing / BOTH / BNYS / BPMT/B.A.S.L.P/BPO/BSC Page 4 of 8 (HLS) in a college affiliated with MUHS, Nashik.
