NBE extends deadline for Round 3 Physical Joining, releases Schedule for Final Mop-Up Round

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the extension of the last date for Physical Joining in respect of the 3 rd Round of counselling. Besides, the counselling authority has also released the Schedule of Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralized Merit Based counselling for admission to DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) courses for 2020 admission session. 

The last date for Physical Joining for the 3 rd Round of DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) Counseling has been extended up to 31st August 2020 (1600 hrs.)
Candidates are advised to join their DNB training at the allotted institute on or before 31.08.2020. No relaxation in the physical joining shall be permissible beyond 31.08.2020(1600hrs). Candidates who do not join their allotted institute by
31.08.2020
will lose their DNB Seat & their Fee shall be forfeited. The DNB Seat falling vacant due to non-joining by 31.08.2020(1600hrs) shall be released for inclusion in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling.
Final Mop UP Round Schedule:
In terms of Para 7.4 of the counseling handbook for Post MBBS and Post Diploma counseling, the schedule of Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralized Merit Based counseling for 2020 Admission Session is as follows:

Only the registered candidates who have not been allotted any seat during the First, Second and Third round of counseling, will be eligible for the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling (Refer para 7.4 (2) of the counseling handbook). Candidates who have been allotted a DNB seat in the any of the three rounds of counseling but have failed to join the allocated institute shall also, be ineligible for participation in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling.
Candidates are also advised to carefully go through the Flowchart indicating the process of allotment of DNB seats in the Mop-up round. (Click here for the Flowchart)
Candidates who have joined the MD/MS course in 2020 through the counseling conducted by counseling authority of the respective states are not eligible for participation in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling. An undertaking duly signed by the candidate is to be uploaded to this effect for participation in the mop-up round.
7. Candidates who do not join their allotted institute in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling by the stipulated date i.e. 15-09-2020 will lose their DNB Seat & their Fee shall be forfeited.
