PGIMER invites applications for MSc Nursing admissions 2025, entrance exam on May 31

Chandigarh: The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has invited online applications for admission to its MSc Nursing programme for the academic session 2025, offering a total of 31 seats.

As per the official notification, the application process commenced on April 13, 2026, and will remain open till May 9, 2026, with the computer-based entrance examination scheduled to be held on May 31, 2026.

The candidates having disability of locomotor to the tune of 40%to 50%of lower extremity declared by authorized Medical Board of the State Govt. / Govt. of India or any other Competent Authority authorized in this regard by Government having Nursing expert as a member of the Board only to be considered.

Color Blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) recently released the admission notification for MSc, MSc (MLT), Fellowship, Post Doctoral Fellowship courses for the July 2026 session, with the entrance examination scheduled to be held on May 31, 2026 in both morning and afternoon shifts.

IMPORTANT DATES

Start of M.Sc/M.Sc MLT online registration on Website: 06.04.2026

Application form closes: 05.05.2026

Computer Based Entrance Test: 31.05.2026

Expected date of declaration of result: 04.06.2026

Note*All the above-mentioned date are tentative in nature and may be subjected to change due to certain circumstances with the prior notice on PGI website.

APPLICATION AND EXAMINATION FEE

• SC/ST Category : Rs. 1200/- + Transaction Charges as applicable

• General /OBC/Sponsored Category: Rs. 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.

• Persons with Bench-mark Disabilities (PwBD) Candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

All candidates are directed to deposit the above fees through online payment gateway available at M. Sc/M.SC MLT application portal w.e.f. 06.04.2026 to 05.05.2026.

MODE OF PAYMENT: Through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking (Payment through UPI may be avoided)

All applicants are advised to read the Prospectus and Instructions carefully before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for reconsideration will be entertained.

Applicants are also advised to download and take a print of the Application form. They should retain a copy of Application form till the completion of Admission Process.
