Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College to be established with immediate effect: DMER Haryana
Haryana: A new institute, Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College, is soon going to be established in the state of Haryana. The medical college is going to come up in Bhiwani.
The information to this effect was recently released by the DMER on its official website. The notice clearly stated:
The Governor of Haryana is pleased to establish Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College, Bhiwani with immediate effect.
In March, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had announced an up-gradation of Bhiwani Civil hospital to a medical college under a centrally sponsored project.
"The college will be named after renowned freedom fighter Pandit Neki Ram Sharma. The up-gradation of this civil hospital would be done under a centrally sponsored project," Khattar had said, quoted ANI.
The CM had informed while replying to a question asked in the Question Hour of the Budget session of the Haryana Assembly.

The Directorate supervises the Medical Education i.e.Under Graduate , Post Graduate and Super Specialisation.It also co-ordinates the Research activities in Fundamental Research , Applied Research & Operational Research in the Institutions under its control and through Out-reach Services. This enables the Government to improve Health Status of the people in the society.
