Black Fungus claims life of Microbiology Professor in Bihar

Dr Pandey, after recovering from Coronavirus infection , got infected from black fungus and his right eye was removed.Later several of his organs stopped functioning and he breathed his last this evening.

Patna: Professor in Pathology and Microbiology at Bettiah Medical College Hospital Dr Uday Shankar Pandey died due to black fungal infection in a private hospital here on Monday.

Dr Pandey, after recovering from Coronavirus infection , got infected from black fungus and his right eye was removed.Later several of his organs stopped functioning and he breathed his last this evening.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. Several doctors posted at various government Medical college hospitals expressed their deep sorrow over the demise of Dr Pandey.
