Dentist suspended from association post, membership terminated for 5 years over alleged remarks on Agarwal death case

Bhopal: A dentists' organisation has suspended a female dentist from the post of Treasurer of its Madhya Pradesh unit and also terminated her membership of the association for five years with immediate effect after she allegedly made inappropriate remarks regarding the Agarwal death case.

The suspension order issued by the All India Dental Students & Surgeons Association (AIDSA) National Working President Dr Divakar Moodautiya on June 29, 2026, the doctor was appointed as Treasurer of AIDSA Madhya Pradesh through an appointment order dated July 5, 2025.

The association stated that disciplinary action was taken after it found that Dr Soni had allegedly made "highly inappropriate, offensive, and disrespectful remarks" regarding the late Mr Ketak Agrawal. AIDSA claimed that the remarks were in violation of the association's Constitution, Code of Conduct and ethical values.

The order stated that the action was taken to maintain the discipline, dignity and integrity of the association. As part of the suspension, Dr *** has been removed from the post of Treasurer and suspended from AIDSA membership for a period of five years with immediate effect.

"And whereas, it has been found that she has committed acts of indiscipline and made highly inappropriate, offensive, and disrespectful remarks regarding the late Mr. ***Agrawal, which are in clear violation of the Constitution, Code of Conduct, and ethical values of the All India Dental Students & Surgeons Association (AIDSA). Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in the National President and in the interest of maintaining the discipline, dignity, and integrity of the Association, Dr. *** is hereby suspended from the post of Treasurer, AIDSA Madhya Pradesh, as well as from the membership of the Association for a period of five (05) year, with immediate effect," mentioned the order. 

During the suspension period, she will not be allowed to represent AIDSA in any official capacity, participate in meetings, committees, conferences, events or organisational activities, or exercise any rights, powers, responsibilities or privileges associated with her office or membership.

"This order shall remain effective for one year from the date of its issuance unless modified or revoked by the competent authority of the Association," the order added.
