Dr Girish Tyagi takes charge as President of Delhi Medical Association

New Delhi: Former Delhi Medical Council (DMC) Registrar Dr Girish Tyagi has now taken over as the President of the Delhi Medical Association (DMA). Issuing a Press Release today, DMA announced the list of the office bearers of the association.
As per the release, Dr. Tyagi has been joined by Dr Satish Lamba as Honorary State Secretary , Dr. AS Popli as Finance Secretary, and Dr. Neelam Lekhi as President-elect.
Dr. Girish Tyagi is a graduate of the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), and he has held the post of Secretary DMA twice in the past and has been the registrar of Delhi Medical Council for several years. He has taken charge as the DMA President from Dr. Alok Bhandari, the immediate past president.
Regarding Dr. Tyagi, the release stated, "Dr. Tyagi's leadership is built on his extensive experience in medical education, service, and professional activities, as well as his commitment to medicosocial causes '. Under his guidance, the DMA played a vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic."

"The DMA is dedicated to collaborating with the government to address pressing healthcare issues in Delhi NCR, encompassing private doctors, corporate hospitals, government hospitals, and various medical professionals. The organization is poised for a proactive year, tackling medical, social, and healthcare challenges facing the capital city's population," further stated the release.
Meanwhile, Dr Abhishek Kumar and Dr Rita Bakshi will hold the posts of Honorary Jt. Secretaries. Dr. Mukesh Verma, Dr. Kummar Gandhi and Dr Vipul Jain will hold the posts of Honorary Asst Secretaries.
Dr. Mukesh Gupta will be the editor of the DMA journal, and Dr. Rajiv Garg will be the associate editor. The release further mentioned that Dr. Manjusha Goel will be the Associate Editor of the DMA News Bulletin.
