The incident took place late on a Sunday night at the canteen of Mathuradas Mathur (MDM) Hospital. The video, which later circulated publicly, reportedly shows the doctor using inappropriate language and displaying aggressive behaviour toward the canteen staff member.
After the video came to light, the SN Medical College administration initiated immediate disciplinary action against the doctor and constituted an inquiry committee to look into the incident.

According to a report by The CSR Journal, the doctor is a junior resident working on a temporary contract at Kamla Nehru Chest Hospital. Following verification of the video and preliminary facts, the college administration suspended him with immediate effect. The college administration has also asked the junior doctor to submit a written explanation regarding his conduct.
The report states that the college principal, Dr Jodha, termed the behaviour unacceptable and inconsistent with the standards expected from a medical professional. He confirmed that a formal inquiry committee has been formed to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter and submit its findings at the earliest.
Speaking to India Today, he said, “The behaviour shown in the video is not acceptable by any doctor, especially from someone associated with our institution. Keeping this in mind, we have constituted an enquiry committee and suspended the doctor with immediate effect.”
Sources indicated that the altercation reportedly began over dissatisfaction with the quality of tea served at the hospital canteen. What started as a complaint allegedly escalated into a heated exchange, with the video showing the doctor shouting and directing abusive remarks at the canteen operator.
Following this, another video reportedly emerged in which the doctor was seen making derogatory remarks about the police. The inquiry committee has been tasked with examining all aspects of the incident, and further action will be decided based on its report and recommendations.
