Man arrested for allegedly raping 23 old medico on pretext of marriage

New delhi: A man who allegedly sexually harassed a medical student on the pretext of marriage was arrested from Jaipur on Monday. The two met each other through a dating application, as per a media report in the Times of India. 

The police said that the incident came to light on February 11 when the medico made a complaint to the police that she met someone through a dating application who entered into sexual relations with her on the pretext of marriage.

The accused used to stay in Karol Bagh and was preparing for UPSC exams. 

The 23 year old medico used to live as a paying guest in Central delhi's Karol Bagh. 

The two met each other in Karol Bagh, and after developing sexual relations with her, the accused began avoiding the medico giving various reasons. Eventually he left the city and went to Jaipur, reports the TOI. Furnishing more information on the case, the police stated that the woman approached them on February 11 and informed them about the man who befriended her via a dating app and later allegedly made sexual relations with her on the pretext of marriage, as per the report published in the TOI

.A thorough probe into the matter revealed that the duo frequently met each other. However, after engaging in sexual relations, the accused began to avoid the woman and even left the city and came back to Jaipur.

Following the upsetting episode, the woman approached the cops and apprised them about the shocking case following which a case was lodge

Subsequently, the medico filed a complaint with the police after which a case was registered. 

Medical Dialogues Team had recently reported that a 58 year old doctor was sentenced to 6 years rigorous imprisonment by a special court in Thiruvananthapuram for sexually assaulting a minor in 2017. The court stated that the hardship of the 13 year old cannot be ignored.
