Medical Officer allegedly misbehaves with colleague, suspended

Sonepat: The Principal Medical Officer (PMO) associated with the Sonepat General Hospital has been suspended for allegedly harassing a female medical officer working in the facility.

The complainant stated that the PMO misbehaved with her around six months ago. After she filed a complaint, an inquiry committee was set up.

A case was filed against the PMO in sector 27 police station under Sections 354A and 354D of the IPC, reports The Tribune.

The investigation officer HC Suraina told the daily that the PMO was arrested and was produced in the court on November 21. He was eventually released on bail.

The headquarters of the PMO has been fixed at the office of the Director General, Health Services of Haryana in Panchkula during the time period of suspension.

The Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about a similar incident where a police officer was arrested for misbehaving with an on-duty doctor in an inebriated state, while threatening to shoot her and the staff at the Samrala Civil Hospital.
