West Bengal: Doctor brutally thrashed by drunk goons, probe on
Howrah: In a shocking incident, a doctor has been brutally thrashed by a group of drunk goons at his own house after he protested against them for drinking alcohol.
The doctor has been identified as Lalbrindar Vikram Singh and the incident took place at 35/1 Dashrath Ghosh Lane in Bantra Police Station area of Howrah.
On Monday evening, the doctor was on his way to his house with his father and noticed a few youngsters drinking alcohol in an open area inside his house premises. When he and his father protested against the action by asking them to leave the premises, the goons allegedly thrashed him and also his father. The doctor was severely injured in the incident.

As per the TOI report, the doctor also alleged that when he and his father asked the group to stop drinking and leave the place, the group began to abuse them and snatched a gold chain from the doctor's neck. Moreover, the group hit the doctor on the head with an iron rod and a wooden tool due to which he suffered a crack in his head.
