Chennai: The Tamil Nadu health department has announced that five Government Medical College Hospitals in the state have received the prestigious National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) certification from the Central government. This milestone marks the state’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare in the public sector.
Health Minister Ma Subramanian, on Wednesday, honoured the principals of five government medical colleges — Omandurar in Chennai, and those attached to the government hospitals in Tiruvannamalai, Theni, Kanniyakumari, and Tiruvallur — in recognition of their institutions receiving official certification.
