Wockhardt Hospital gets hoax bomb threat email

Mumbai: The Wockhardt Hospital situated on Mira Road, a suburb near Mumbai received a bomb threat email on Monday, said police. The hospital conducted a comprehensive investigation and determined it to be a hoax. 

Following the alert, police have barricaded the area around the hospital and restricted civilian movement.

According to an ANI report, To investigate the bomb threat, the police have called in the bomb disposal squad and a dog squad.

The threat was received via an email sent to the hospital.

This information was confirmed by the Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar police (MBVV Police).

As per a media report in the TOI, The bomb squad and dog unit arrived at the private hospital located in Naya Nagar. Police are tracking the sender's IP address.
