NBE Notifies on Discontinuation Of Hard Copy Of Thesis Protocol, Thesis, details here
Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has notified about the discontinuation of the hard copy of the thesis protocol and thesis for DNB, DrDNB Trainees.
As per norms, submission of the Thesis protocol and Thesis is essential for all DNB/DrNB trainees towards the partial fulfilment of eligibility for the Diplomate of National Board (DNB)/Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) degree.
The submission process of the Thesis protocol and Thesis to NBEMS is done online through the NBEMS Thesis Portal, and the candidates are required to submit the Thesis Protocol and Thesis as per the timelines specified in the Thesis Protocol and thesis submission guidelines.
The portal for Thesis Protocol and thesis Submission can be accessed by clicking on the link mentioned in the notice below. After submitting the online Thesis Protocol and Thesis form, candidates are no longer required to send the Thesis Protocol and the hard-bound thesis to NBEMS by post.
The DNB/DrNB Trainees are required to submit a thesis at the prescribed timeline and as per the rules and regulations of NBEMS. Research shall form an integral part of the education programme of all trainees registered for DNB/DrNB degrees of NBEMS.
The basic aim of requiring the trainees to write a thesis/dissertation is to familiarize him/her with research methodology. The faculty members guiding the thesis/dissertation work for the candidate shall ensure that the subject matter selected for the thesis/dissertation is feasible, economical and original.
The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an all-India basis and utilizing existing infrastructure for capacity building. NBEMS, at present, conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialities, leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), respectively.
