Mumbai: Marksans Pharma Ltd has announced the acquisition of 100% share capital of Netherlands-based pharmaceutical company QliniQ B.V. in a strategic move aimed at strengthening its presence across regulated European markets.

According to the company, Marksans Pharma has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the profitable pharmaceutical and medical-products company, which has established front-end sales, marketing and distribution operations in the Dutch healthcare market. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Marksans’ forward-integration strategy by providing direct market-access capabilities within the European Union.

QliniQ B.V. operates a portfolio of niche pharmaceuticals and medical devices with a presence in women’s health, dermatology, respiratory care and several specialty therapeutic categories. The company has established relationships with wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals and insurer-led tender channels in the Netherlands.

For the financial year ended December 31, 2025, QliniQ reported revenue of €9.35 million and net profit of €1.01 million. The company also recorded a revenue CAGR of nearly 41% between FY2023 and FY2025 while maintaining a debt-free balance sheet.

Commenting on the development, Albert de Bruin and Raymond Lansink, Board Members and Shareholders of QliniQ B.V., said that Marksans Pharma’s strong track record in product development, quality manufacturing and long-term vision made the partnership attractive. They stated that combining Marksans’ manufacturing and product capabilities with QliniQ’s local market expertise would create strong opportunities for future growth and improved access to quality medicines.

Mark Saldanha, Chairman and Managing Director of Marksans Pharma, stated that the acquisition represents an important strategic milestone in expanding the company’s footprint across regulated European markets. He added that the deal would provide direct access to the Netherlands market and support commercialization of existing and future products across Europe.

The acquisition will provide Marksans Pharma with established sales, marketing and distribution infrastructure in the Netherlands along with access to relationships with major wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals and health insurers. It will also offer participation in insurer-led tender channels, EU GDP-compliant warehousing and regulatory infrastructure, and multiple routes to market including direct-to-consumer channels.

QliniQ B.V., headquartered in Oldenzaal, Netherlands, is engaged in the distribution and commercialization of prescription medicines and medical devices. Its portfolio includes products related to women’s health, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and respiratory care, including several first-to-market products with limited competition.

As per the disclosure, Marksans Pharma will acquire the company through cash consideration amounting to €7.5 million. The transaction does not fall under related-party transactions, and no regulatory approvals are required for completion of the acquisition. The deal is expected to be completed by June 15, 2026.
