Pharmacy Student Lured into Honey Trap, Assaulted, Robbed in Pune
Pune: A pharmacy student allegedly became the victim of a honey-trap scheme in Pune after a woman befriended him and later helped her associates assault and rob him of Rs 10,000.
According to police officials, the woman first established contact with the student and gradually gained his confidence. After building familiarity, she allegedly called him to meet at a specific location in the city.
When the student reached the spot, a group of men reportedly intercepted him. The accused allegedly assaulted the student and forcibly took away Rs 10,000 before escaping from the scene.

Following the incident, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint regarding the alleged assault and robbery. Police officials have started an investigation into the matter and are trying to identify and trace all accused persons involved in the case.
Investigators suspect that the incident was pre-planned and executed as part of a honey-trap operation, where the woman allegedly acted as bait to lure the victim before the robbery was carried out by her accomplices.
Police are currently examining the sequence of events, verifying details provided by the complainant, and collecting evidence connected to the case. Further investigation is underway.
