MCI recognises 2014-15 batch of Nellore-based ACSR Govt Medical College
Nellore: In a major respite, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has recently granted recognition to the 150 MBBS students of AC Subba Reddy Government Medical College, Nellore. The students and the medical college authorities were reportedly waiting for the MCI nod for over 5 years.
According to a recent report by Hans India, the medical college was facing issues with recognition. It has been reported that MCI sanctioned 150 seats to the Medical College in 2013 and medical council authorities had not accorded the approval of the said number of seats.
The Government Medical College was started in 2014-15 and had to get recognition.
Further, there was a problem for granting recognition for additional 50 MBBS seats in Guntur Medical College along with the entire 2014-15 batch of 150 MBBS students in AC Subba Reddy Government Medical College in Nellore, reports Hans India.
