Delhi: Senior ENT Specialist electrocuted to death, suicide suspected
New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, the electrocuted body of a 74-year-old senior otorhinolaryngologist was found in his bedroom. While the police suspect it to be a case of suicide, it is not sure why the doctor would take such a drastic step.
The deceased is identified to be Dr Jatinder Ahluwalia who lived alone in his rented flat in west Delhi's Vikaspuri and worked part-time at private clinics. The doctor's family members are based in Australia currently.
Informing about the tragic incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Deepak Purohit told PTI, "The body of Dr Jatinder Ahluwalia, who dealt with all conditions ear, nose and throat (ENT) related, was found in the bedroom and the index fingers of both of his hands were wired to an electric socket. Police officials stated that they were informed on the evening of May 30th that Dr Ahluwalia was not responding to his doorbells."
