J&k: Ayurveda doctor dies, 7 others injured after car falls off bridge

Srinagar: In a tragic incident that occurred in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, an Ayurvedic doctor lost his life while seven others sustained injuries in a road accident. 

According to the police, the deceased doctor, a resident of Zalangam Kokernag was on his way to Vailoo from Deesu with seven others in the car when the accident took place. The person who was driving the car allegedly lost control of the vehicle and skidded off the road, plunging from a bridge.

Due to the impact caused by the fall from a bridge, the doctor died, while seven others suffered injuries. Locals immediately alerted the police and the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. However, the condition of two of the injured persons is reported to be critical.

An accidental death case was registered by the police and an investigation is underway. 

As per a media report in GK, police officials stated they had already arrived at the accident site to collect details.  

In another incident, a 28-year-old doctor lost his life in a road accident after his car lost control and crashed into the Bomikhal flyover and then hit an electric pole nearby in the Bomikhal locality of Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

He was working at the Emergency and Trauma Care Department of the Apollo Hospital and was staying near the Ravi Talkies area in Bhubaneswar as reported by Medical Dialogues team.
