NHM MD informed that for the detection of cancer in children up to 18 years, training will be given for the capacity building of doctors at every level from field staff. With this, arrangements will be made for diagnosis and treatment at Medical Colleges and Tertiary Care Centers by screening children in PHCs, CHCs, Civil Hospitals, and District Hospitals. This will reduce the financial and mental burden on the family of the child suffering from cancer.

Ayushman Bharat Health IDID will be made as soon as the child with cancer is tested

NHM MD The Ayushman Bharat Health ID (ABHA) will be generated as soon as the cancer is confirmed after the examination of the child with cancer. A separate MIS system will be created to track the treatment of each cancer victim child so that it will be able to know which cancer child has been treated in which hospital.

Dhanashree Pradhan of Can Kids Sanstha said that our aim is to provide facilities for early diagnosis and treatment of cancer (pediatric cancer) in children easily. For this, the organization will help in treatment at every level for the child suffering from cancer. If there is no arrangement in the government hospital for the examination of the child, then the institution will arrange for him to be examined in a private hospital. Hospitals do not have facilities for pediatric cancer. After analyzing their gap, a report will be sent to NHM, so that that deficiency can be removed.

Pediatric cancer policy will be made

For five years, the Can Kids organization will map the government and private hospitals with cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities in the state with the district hospitals, so that the child with symptoms of cancer can be referred from the district hospital to the right center. After analyzing the gap received from the institution, NHM will formulate a policy regarding pediatric cancer.

Among the main points of the MoU of Pediatric Cancer will be the training of doctors from ASHA workers to district hospitals for cancer detection. The organization will help out with its own funds if the facilities of examination, medicine, and treatment of children are not available. Will send a report of each case of the gap to NHM so that policy of pediatric cancer can be formulated. NHM will monitor and establish a Pediatric Cancer Command Center at the state level. Can Kids organization will create a portal and prepare a resource directory in it and issue a map hospital, information of doctors and social workers available there as well as helpline numbers for treatment.
