Puducherry: 2nd-year MBBS student hangs self, cites mental stress in suicide note

Puducherry: A medical student allegedly committed suicide here by hanging in her house on Friday.

According to police, Jyothika (20) of Kuyavarpalayam, a second-year MBBS student at the government medical college here failed to open her room for a long time yesterday. Panicked family members broke her room open and found hanging from the ceiling fan.

Mettuppalayam police seized the body and sent it for post mortem.They recovered a suicide note from her room stating that she was mentally stressed.

A case was registered.
