NEET impersonation case: TN CB-CID sleuths arrest agent who took Rs 20 lakh from MMC student
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu CB-CID sleuths recently arrested an agent from Bengaluru in connection to the case linked to a Madras Medical College (MMC) student getting admission through impersonation in NEET during the academic year 2018-19.
The agent has been identified as Sri Harsh. The third accused of the case, he was nabbed in Bengaluru and remanded in judicial custody in Chennai. As per a recent media report, the man is believed to be the agent of the medical student who allegedly cheated in the NEET examination and secured admission in MMC in the academic year 2018-2019.
The student and his father were arrested in February 2020 under charges of impersonation. The police during the investigation came to know that the medical student allegedly paid a hefty amount of Rs 20 lakh to their agent who was absconding until this Monday.
