19-year-old MBBS student killed, father injured in Hyderabad road accident

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old second-year MBBS student from Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar, was killed, and her father was seriously injured after a speeding car hit them while they were crossing a road near RTC Colony in Hyderabad's Hayatnagar area.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

According to the IANS report, the medico and her father were crossing the road when they were hit by a speeding car. They were shifted to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The body was subsequently shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The student's father sustained grievous injuries and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The deceased was a student of MBBS (second year) at the Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar.

Police registered a case and took up an investigation.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that 4 MBBS students had died in a fatal car crash Uttar Pradesh. According to the polcie officials, the medicos were identified as MBBS students of Venkateshwar University.

The police officials informed, " Four MBBS students were killed on the spot after their speeding car crashed into a parked DCM (truck) on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha."

The impact of the collision was so intense that the car was completely mangled, leaving no chance of survival for the occupants, according to eyewitnesses.

Police reached the site immediately after receiving information and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Forensic teams and police personnel remained at the spot through the night, examining the wreckage and investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.

All four deceased are said to be MBBS students of Venkateshwar University. Officials from the university also arrived at the location. The identities of the victims are being confirmed, and their families are being informed.
