DME Telangana to hold counselling for compulsory govt service for super speciality residents, check schedule, guidelines

Hyderabad: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME Telangana), has issued an official notification announcing the counselling schedule for Compulsory Government Service for super-speciality (DM/MCh) candidates who have passed their examinations in December 2025 or January 2026 from Government Medical Colleges only.

The Counselling for super-speciality residents who have passed in Dec 2025 / Jan 2026 from Government Medical Colleges only will be held as per the schedule mentioned below.

Guidelines for Counselling and Compulsory Government Service (CGS)

1. The Counselling will be based on the merit i.e., total marks secured in Super specialty final examination conducted by KNRUHS, Warangal. 

2. If 2 or more candidates have secured the same marks, the older person (based upon date of birth- proof to be provided) will be given preference. 

3. The candidates have to bring with them the following:

a. Filled in application form (2 copies)

b. Proof of date of birth, if required (Aadhar/ SSC/ Birth certificate)

4. The period of CGS is for two years. Only for the candidates who have completed one year of CGS after MD/MS the period of CGS post DM/MCh is one year. 

5. A total of 20 days leave per year with permission is permitted.

6. Extension or long leave beyond 20 days of casual leave will be given only on Pregnancy/maternity related grounds. 

7. If they violate the bond condition either by not joining or by not completing the stipulated service period of one year after obtaining the super-specialty degree Rs.50,00,000/- shall be levied as penalty from those who violate the bond conditions as per G.O.Ms.No.165, HM&FW (Cl) department dated 06/09/2017. 

8. The Doctor should report on or before 9th of Feb 2026 to the Principal of the allotted place of posting.

9. As per NMC, biometric attendance is mandatory. Payment will be done considering entry and exit of biometric attendance registration.
