PNDT Act: DME Tripura Begins Online Registration For 6 Months Ultra Sonography Training Courses For MBBS Doctors

Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) has invited applications from MBBS Doctors who have qualified in the NEET PG 2022 but have not been admitted to any PG course for the 6 months of Ultra Sonography Training which is the fundamentals of Abdomino-Pelvic Ultra Sonography level 1 at Agartala Govt. Medical College & GBP Hospital, Agartala.

As per the notice, the candidates need to register their name submission with application in the prescribed format with relevant documents with draft Registration fees at the office of the DME, Bidurkarta Chowuhani, on or before 7th January 2023. They will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1000 only for all categories to be paid by Bank draft from any Nationalised Bank payable at Agartala in favour of the Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Tripura.

Eligibility criteria -

1. Permanent Resident of Tripura who has obtained an MBBS Degree from the any University of India duly recognized by MCI, Sc have registered with MCl/TSMC, level 1 for MBBS Doctors at Agartala Govt. Medical College & GBP Hospital, Agartala.

2. Candidates pursuing any other course are not eligible for admission to this course of USG training. However, candidates having completed the other course/resigning from the other course before the date of admission to this course of USG training will be eligible to get registration for the counselling/admission to this course of USG.

3. A candidate must qualify for the NEET PG 2022.

4. A candidate must be below 45 years as of 31.12.2022.

Seat details –

1. There is a total of 5 seats, out of which 4 are for the open category (Non-Service/In-service Non Sponsored candidates) (UR-02, SC-01, ST-01) and 1 seat for the in-service sponsored category.

2. If the non-availability of an open category (Non-Service/In-Service Non Sponsored) candidate, the seat will be distributed to the In-service sponsored category candidate and vice versa, but the category of UR/ST/SC shall remain the same.

The selection will be made as per merit of NEET PG 2022 of different caste categories. Candidates qualified in NEET PG 2022 only are eligible to apply; selection will be based on rank in the merit list of NEET PG 2022 in the offline counselling of the registered candidates only.

The course fee is Rs. 10000 only for the open category. The In-service sponsored category is exempted from paying the course fee. The syllabus and course guidelines will be per the PC & PNDT Act, 2014. The training period will be 6 months.

Upon completing 6-month training, the candidates must appear for a competence-based evaluation (final examination of theory and practice1). On successful completion of the evaluation, a certificate to the effect will be issued by the Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Tripura; the such certificate will be applicable for obtaining new registration/renewal under the PC & PNDT Act,2014. The seats will be reserved per the Tripura State reservation act, 1991.

Candidates should see the Notification as per the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi, dated 9th January 2014, regarding the short title & commencement, Nomenclature of six months of training in USG etc.

Diversion from one category to another, i.e. open to in-service or vice versa, is not permissible once applied for the particular category on the application will be treated as final. Eligible candidates, either unemployed or in-service (permanent/ah-hot) but have not completed three years of specified rural service, will be treated as the open candidate (non-sponsored). They are not eligible for the counselling of seats reserved for the in-service category seat. No sponsored in-service candidate will have to bring NOC from competent authority ' DHS candidates under TMES will have to collect the NOC from DME.

In-service sponsored candidate of THS for the seat earmarked in-service sponsored candidate is one who, at the time of application, has completed three years of rural service & submitted the sponsored certificate from competent authority/DHS.

Candidates will have to submit all relevant documents in support of their statement submitted along with the "Application Form" duly filled in. Allotment/selection of seats will be done by the counselling committee and will be final.

A Bond of minimum 3 years of service under the Government of Tripura after completion of the said training is applicable, provided the candidates will be employed under the state government within six months after the said training.

The candidates may be made free from bond obligation service immediately after the completion of the 6 month's USG training course if they get an opportunity to an MCI-recognized course in an MCI recognized -- Institution (with prior No-Objection from the DHS- in case of In-service candidate) for the period of the course. Following completion of the later course, the candidate will have to serve a total cumulative period adding the obligation service period of the bond executed to the later course.

DME has further notified that the bond will also apply to the candidates if they discontinue their applied higher course. If any, the bond period will be a sum of the earlier and subsequent bond periods. Further, in the event of failure to serve under the Government of Tripura for the bond period after successful completion of the 6 months of training, they will have to pay an amount of Rs. 5.00 lakh only as compensation/penalty and hand over the said amount to Government of Tripura.

Only the registered candidates applying with requisite fees and mandatory options for the open or in-service category will be eligible for selection for the said training.

The candidates note that there will be no remuneration/stipend/TA/DA for the training course. The concerned authority may provide accommodation for the training course subject to the availability of accommodation & the accommodation so given to the candidates will be as per rules & norms.

Candidates must bring all original relevant documents or any leftover documents (during offline registration) during offline counselling to consider selection for admission to the course. The date of offline counselling will be declared shortly, and the eligible aspirant candidates will have to be physically present with all relevant original documents. Submission of any documents, papers or documentation of original after completion of the counselling of a particular candidate will not be considered for any required eligibility.

1. Permanent Resident of Tripura certificate (PRTC)

2. MBBS Pass mark sheet

3. Registration certificate of MCl/TSMC

4. Internship Completion certificate

5. NEET PG-2022 admit card and scorecard

6. Authentic Age proof certificate

7. No objection certificate from DHS/Competent authority(In case of In-service candidate)

8. Sponsorship certificate from appointing authority for In-service Sponsored category

9. Recent passport size photo 4(four) copies
