Female Doctor commits suicide in UP

Bahraich  - A doctor committed suicide under suspicious circumstances in the rural Kotwali area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Saturday.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ajay Pratap here said that the body of Dr Shakti Shukla, resident of Raipur Raja in the rural Kotwali area, was found hanging in a suspicious state.

Upon receiving information, senior officials inspected the spot while the forensic team also checked the area.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and the cause behind the death will be ascertained through the autopsy report.

Further investigation is underway.
