PG Admissions Update: NTRUHS Allows Round 1, 2 Exit Till January 14
Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has issued a notification permitting Free Exit for candidates admitted to PG Medical courses under the Competent Authority Quota (Non-Service) and Management Quota during Phase-I and Phase-II counselling for the academic year 2025-26.
The decision follows multiple representations from postgraduate candidates seeking to resign from their joined seats to take up admissions in Institutes of National Importance (INIs) conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi, and other state counselling processes.

Pointing out the long delay in the commencement of the Round 3 of the National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate, NEET PG counselling, the doctors and PG medical aspirants are demanding clarity from the authorities.

MP High Court Waives Rural Posting Bond for In-Service Doctors After PG
In a recent judgment, the Madhya Pradesh High Court clarified that in-service doctors in the State are not required to execute a rural service bond after completing a medical postgraduate course.
While considering the plea filed by a doctor seeking release from the rural service bond and return of her original certificates, a HC Division bench of Justices Vivek Rushia and Pradeep Mittal clarified that Rule 11 of the Madhya Pradesh Autonomous Medical and Dental Postgraduate Courses (Degree/Diploma) Admission Rules, 2017, does not apply to in-service doctors.

Following reports of an infection in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) has suspended its critical care services for two days, Sunday and Monday, to carry out immediate corrective measures.
Sources indicated that the infection may have resulted from irregular maintenance and inadequate care of the ICU facilities. With over 500 patients visiting the OPD daily, the sudden suspension in critical care services has created a challenging situation for families seeking urgent medical attention.
