MCC allows NEET MDS Candidates to Resign from Round 1 allotted Seats, deadline ends today at 6 pm
New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has allowed the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) candidates to resign from Round-1 MDS seats allotted through MCC. They have been allowed so that such candidates can join their state counselling seats. As per the MCC notice, today is the last date i.e. Monday 22 July 2024 till 06:00 pm for candidates to resign from the Round-1 MDS seats.
The resignation process is being done in online mode. However, candidates will have to visit the allotted college to vacate their allotted seats. Along with this, institutes must ensure that all resignations are lodged on the IntraMCC portal of MCC, or else the resignation will be treated as Null & Void’, the notice mentioned.
This decision has been taken after receiving requests from MDS candidates to resign from the Round-1 seats allotted to them through MCC, as they have been allotted seats from Round-1 of State Counselling also, the official notice further mentioned.
Meanwhile, the 2nd round of MCC NEET-MDS counselling 2024 will begin on August 7, 2024. Below is the detailed schedule of MCC NEET-MDS counselling 2024.

However, after the completion of counselling, the academic session for PG courses will begin on August 1, 2024.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges.
