MDS Admissions 2021: WBMCC releases schedule for College level Mop Up Counselling for stray vacancies, Details
Kolkata: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education West Bengal and State Medical Counseling Committee (WBMCC) has released the schedule of WB PG Dental 2021 College level Mop Up Counseling for stray vacancies for MDS admissions this academic year.
Medical Dialogues had recently reported that the NEET MDS 2021 qualifying cut off has been lowered by 23.029 percentile for each category.
The qualifying percentile for the NEET MDS 2021 has been lowered from 50 to 26.971 for the general category bringing the score from 259 to 185 marks. For the SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying percentile has been reduced from 40 to 16.971, hence the score goes down from 227 to 152; whereas for PwD (Persons with disabilities) category, the revised cut-off percentile is 21.971 down from 45, the score hence lowered from 243 to 170 marks.
In view of few seats remaining vacant in WB PG Dental 2021 counseling after completion of centralized manual mop up and in pursuance of the order of the Dental Council of India (DCI) along with notice of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, a college level mop up shall be held after fresh registration for the eligible candidates through NEET MDS 2021 (those who have not registered earlier in WB PG 2021 counseling including those newly becoming eligible after reduction of cut off in NEET MOS 2021 examination), said the WBMCC notice.
The candidates who are already registered but remained not allotted till completion of centralized manual mop up, are also allowed to participate in the college mop up if they wish. They do not need to register again.
Admitted candidates, not reported candidates, surrendered candidates or candidates whose seat got cancelled due to failure in document verification and thereby got out of the counseling process, cannot participate in such college mop up counseling.
The vacancy shall be published on 16.11.2021 in the counseling website www.wbmcc.nic.in The fresh registration process (enrollment > fee payment ~ slip generation > registration) shall begin from 4 pm of 16.11.2021 and shall continue till 4 pm of 17.11.2021 as per server time in the counseling website www.wbmcc.nic.in
The provisional eligible candidate list shall be published after 6 pm of 17.11.2021 Such listed candidates if desirous of taking such seat shall have to attend the Principal office of the concerned college by 12 noon of 18.11.2021 along with requisite original documents and college fee.
The college authority has to take attendance after 12 noon and call the candidates as per the NEET MDS 2021 combined rank for allotment followed by admission if they successfully pass the document verification and provide the requisite college fee. No candidate is allowed to attend the counseling who reaches the venue after 12 noon on 18.11.2021
The allotment cum admission facility shall remain open from 12 noon till 6 pm of 18.11.2021 as per server time. The allotment and admission slip has to be generated through online server by the college authority and have to hand over one copy to the concerned candidate.
All the admitted candidate details shall have to be uploaded by the concerned colleges in the website of Dental Council of India by 20.11.2021
