CENTAC Extends Deadlines for NEET 2024 Round 2 Registration, Round 1 Seat Withdrawal, Course Preference Submission
Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has extended the deadline for National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 2 registration, withdrawal of NEET UG Round 1 admitted seat and submission of course preference for MBBS and BDS courses.
As per the notice issued in this regard, CENTAC has extended the last date for submission of withdrawal requests without any forfeiture of seats admitted in NEET UG Round 1 up to 21st September 2024 at 5.00 PM. Along with this, the last date for payment of the registration fee, submission of willingness and course preference has been extended upto 29 September 2024 at 5 PM.
PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR MBBS ONLY
To participate in Round 2 counselling, candidates need to pay the registration fee as prescribed below-

SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES
1 All candidates registering for round 2 should submit course preferences afresh for round 2.
2 In round 2, once the candidates expressed their willingness and if a new seat is allotted based on their round 2 course preferences, then the course in which the candidate was admitted in round 1 will be automatically cancelled.
3 The candidate is solely responsible for filling course preferences. No request for change in course preferences will be entertained, once course preferences are submitted by the candidate. No seat will be allotted if the course preference is vacant.
4 As per the directions received from RIVER, NRI/OCI/Wards of NRI parents are only eligible for the NRI vacant seats in B.V.Sc.,& AH.
The decision to extend the time for candidates to submit their course preferences for Round 2 UG NEET-based courses and withdraw their Round 1 admitted seat was taken after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule for the wider interests of the candidates.
As per the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 schedule, the counselling will now continue till 5th November 2024. Of these, Round 2 began from 4th September 2024 and will now continue till 30th September 2024, round 3 will be held from 4th to 20th October 2024 and the stray vacancy round will be held from 22nd to 5th November 2024.
