Assam: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has issued a revised schedule for the 3rd round of online counselling for admission to vacant Post Graduate medical seats under the Assam State Quota for the 2025 academic session.
The counselling will be conducted for seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, following the release of a new counselling timeline by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Government of India.
According to the educational notice released by the DME Assam in this regard, the third round of counselling, which had earlier been postponed until further notice, will now be held as per the revised schedule. The process will be governed by the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021, as amended from time to time.
As per the revised timeline, the online registration will be open from January 27. Following this, the online choice filling will be conducted from January 30 and the Choice locking will be available on February 2, 2026. Thereafter, the processing of seat allotment will take place from February 3.
