NEET PG 2024 Exam city allotment expected today, Admit card on August 8
New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the exam city allotment details for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) exam 2024 today i.e. 29th July 2024. The information regarding the release of NEET PG exam 2024 exam city allotment will be shared with the candidates on their registered email ID and it will not be available on the official website of the exam.
As per the official notice in this regard, NBEMS has earlier stated that “The test city so allocated shall be communicated to all concerned candidates through email on 29th July 2024 at their registered email IDs. The test centre venue in the test city allocated shall be intimated through the admit card which shall be released on 8th August 2024 on the NBEMS website”.
The notice further stated, “Wherever the number of available test cities in a State/UT of correspondence address is less than four or the demand of testing seats is exceeding the available capacity in the state of correspondence address, the candidate shall be offered to choose from the test cities of nearby States/UTs”.
Moreover, the allotment of exam city to the candidate will be done randomly from the available provided by the candidates. However, it is also possible that exam centres may not be made available in the preferred exam cities due to overcapacity, logistical, administrative, or security reasons. In such cases, the candidate can be allotted an examination centre at one of the nearest available locations. Also, if no examination centre can be allotted within the state of the correspondence address or in an adjoining state, the applicant will be allotted an examination centre in any part of the country based on availability.
Apart from this, “who will fail to provide any preferences regarding the test cities during this online window will be allocated a test centre by NBEMS anywhere in the country”, the notice added.
Meanwhile, the exam city allotment details will be available on the admit card, which will be released on August 8, 2024.
For the NEET PG exam 2024, additional security measures are being taken by NBEMS and MoHFW (Govt. of India), therefore NEET PG will now be conducted in 185 test cities across the country.
This year's NEET-PG 2024 examination, was previously scheduled to be conducted on June 23 2024. However, the PG medical entrance test will now be held on 11th August 2024 in two shifts.
SCHEME OF NEET-PG 2024
The NEET PG exam comprises 200 Multiple Choice Questions with each question having 4 options in English only. Candidates are required to select the correct answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. the examination time to complete the paper is 3 hours and 30 minutes. There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
