Suicide
Jammu: In a tragic incident, a second-year MBBS student was found dead inside his hostel room at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
Identified as Falak Sayed Khan, a resident of Harni village in Poonch’s Mendhar area, the student was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan after hostel authorities forced open his locked door.
Khan, who was pursuing his second year of MBBS, was rushed through necessary legal formalities, including a post-mortem, before his body was handed over to his family. While the exact reason behind his extreme step remains unclear, police have initiated inquest proceedings to probe the circumstances surrounding his death.
