JIPMER notifies on 1st Year PG Orientation Program for MD, MS, DM, MCh, MDS July 2024, details
Puducherry- Through a circular, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has announced about th First Year Postgraduate Orientation Programme for MD/MS/DM/MCh (6 year course) & MDS students – July 2024 (Batch-2) students.
The Postgraduate Orientation Programme for the First Year Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DM MCh (6 year course) & MDS) students admitted in July 2024 session has been scheduled on 13th September, 3rd and 4th October 2024 in the IV floor, NTTC Hall-1, Department of Medical Education, JIPMER Academic Centre, JIPMER.
In the notice, the JIPMER said, "All the Heads of Departments are requested to circulate this among the First Year MD/MS/DM/ MCh (6 year course) & MDS students who were admitted in the second and final round of seat allotment and permit them to attend the programme on the scheduled dates. lt is also requested not to post them on night-duty before and during the programme days and inform all unit heads to relieve the residents on time, which will enable them to attend all sessions on time."
It is also requested to send the guide and PG dissertation topic details of the students as per the format given below to the email id mentioned in the notice on or before 12.09.2024.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.
JIPMER originated in the year 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India.
