In private medical colleges the Christian Medical College, Vellore (CMC Vellore) has been ranked at the top in the country with a score of 72.84, although the actual ranking of the college is at the 3rd position in the NIRF ranking list.
New Delhi: The ranking of top medical colleges across the country, based on the government's National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF), has been released by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In private medical colleges category, the Christian Medical College , Vellore (CMC Vellore) has been ranked on top in the country with the score of 72.84, although the actual ranking of the college is at the 3rd position in the NIRF ranking list.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore (AVV, Coimbatore) has been ranked 2nd with the actual rank of 8 and a score of 66.49. Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (KMC, Manipal) follows AVV, Coimbatore on the 3rd rank in private medical colleges with the score of 63.89.
The 4th, 5th and 6th place has been occupied by the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences Delhi (ILBS Delhi) , St. John's Medical College Bengaluru (SJMC Bengaluru) and Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research Chennai (SRIHER, Chennai) respectively.
